Last night we were very fortunate to have dinner at the Napa Rose Chef's Counter. This was out 3rd visit to the Counter and while each experience has been amazing, this time may have been our favorite. We went to celebrate our middle daughter's 20th birthday. She is an aspiring chef and going to begin culinary school next Fall.
We were fortunate to have Chef Danny and Chef Sutton in the kitchen; Chef Gloria too. Plus two pastry chefs who came and spoke with Chloe about becoming a pastry chef; Janae and Katie; both darling. They came over at the request of Chef Sutton, calling Chloe his best friend. She was over the moon, still is! Chef Sutton is an amazing teacher and watch him first hand was incredible. He also chatted with Chloe, sort of filling her in on do's and don'ts in the kitchen.
I am happy to answer any questions. We did not do the wine paring this time. While it's wonderful, it is too much alcohol for me to able to truly enjoy and remember dinner.
DH had a Manhattan and a=I had a Moscow Mule pre-dinner and we both had a glass of Malbec with dinner. To top it off as we entered the lobby we ran into Pluto who took Chloe by the arm and walked her around the GCH lobby. Not posing the visor as my recorded voice is horrendous.
