Where are the Disney mini golf courses? Are they nice? Is one better than another for young kids? How much does it cost?

We did the Fantasia Gardens one last year because we were able to walk there from our resort at BWI. As far as mini golf courses go it wasn't all that good. I found the course itself really hard and for my 5 year old almost impossible. It was small and the décor wasn't anything fabulous. And there was little to no shade so it was extremely hot.

We did the ones at Blizzard beach, we had the water park add on so I don't know about cost. We liked both sides, they were cute. One side blew "snow"

Winterland/Summerland is best for younger kids, the kind that want to play miniature golf but don't really know how to play miniature golf. It's also good for families that just want to have fun.

My family of three know how to play miniature golf and on our venture there, we had a ton of fun but I was 14 strokes under par and lost, coming in third. There were a ton of families around us and all had a great time.

The course is located next to Blizzard Beach so you can take a bus to the water park and then walk over or you can drive.

Fantasia has two courses and only one I would recommend to families who want to be speaking to each other at the end of the day. That's the Gardens which is nicely styled but has a few challenging holes. We were behind a family once and there was a hole where the ball had to be put up hill for the last shot. The kids ended up having to stand on the hill (it was a very sloping uphill thing) to even try to attempt it. The dad couldn't even do it. But, the course is nicely done but can be frustrating.

The Fairways course, well, my husband and I have done this twice and the first time, we had two almost adult males with us (our son's friends). After the round, the two almost males looked at us and said "why the hell did we do that?" Then my husband and I tried it a few trips later thinking since we didn't have the "baggage", we'd do better. We threw the score card away after the sixth hole and decided we'd just mark ourselves down for the maximum.

We do mini golf every trip and by far we prefer Winter Summerland. It's got a great silly theme, there's Christmas music playing, and the holes are simple enough for all of us, cause we're not that good at it. We sing, dance, get goofy photos and have a great time. There's lots of trees and nice landscape.

Fantasia Gardens is harder, and much hotter. It's all concrete and more compact so you could feel rushed if it's busy.

Mini golf is included in the Water Parks and More option until 4pm. That makes combining Winter Summerland with a trip to Blizzard Beach a convenient option. The Pirate's Cove courses off site are great also.
