MIni golf with young kids

We are thinking of going to play minigolf with the kids on our next trip. They are 7, 4 and 3 years and there will be 3 adukts too.

Any thoughts?

How do you get to the courses when you are staying on property but don't have a car.

I took my 6 yr DD and 3 yr DD (both almost 7 and 4) last Dec and we had fun but after the first hole we hit around and realized that we had to let the people behind us play through. After the third hole, we threw away the scorecard and tried our best.

Instead of letting it stress us out we decided to just have fun and hit the ball around and not take ourselves seriously at all!

It depends on your kids but that's how we handled it. I don't plan on trying it again till they are older.

Now, getting there. We played at Fantasia Gardens which is right by the Swan and Dolphin Resorts...we walked from BWV. And the other is right by Blizzard Beach, if you take the BB bus, you can get to it easy.

The courses at Winter-Summerland are MUCH easier, and the kids will love the Santa theme. Also, as mentioned before, at that age, you will have to stop a lot and let other groups play through so you don't hold everyone up. There is a limit on the number of times each person is allowed to putt, and there is pretty much no way your younger two would make it in under the limit. That's not a problem - as long as nobody is behind you waiting for your group to get finished.

I know from an another post you were interested in going to the Boardwalk area, so Fantasia Gardens would be a good recommendation. It a short walk from the Swan/Dolphine resorts which would be near the Boardwalk.

I agree with another poster...don't keep score, just have fun. this is from experience-mine are now older and very competiative and somethimes I wish we didn't keep score now.
