Mini golf... which one ?

We want to go mini golfing one night but are having a tought time deciding on which course.... any suggestions ? We are four, with our children being 16 and 8.... any suggestions grealty appreciated...

Fantasia Gardens requires a tee time. We went one night and were told we would have to wait 45 minutes to start. The CM suggested Winterland/Summerland instead as they don't have tee times, you just walk up and start. Winter/Summer is also geared more towards kids. (mine are 4,7,9). We enjoyed it very much...just beware that when the first lightning strike hits they clear the course, but they do offer rain checks. It took us 2 nights to complete the course. Also as a family of 5 it cost us over $50 for one round. If I had know this ahead I might not have encouraged playing!!

We've been to Fantasia Gardens and it didn't require a tee time. We walked right up and started playing. Could have been the time of year. There are two courses - one your typical mini golf course (however, it is pretty difficult) and the other course looks like a mini golf course on a green (very cool). Maybe that one requires a tee time. We are planning on playing our next trip. Kind of a ritual for us - must play putt putt on vacation.

We played both courses last year, it was either November or December, and didn't need a tee time for either. We walked up and started, and we were a large group - there were at least 10 of us. There are discounts for DVC members, Annual Passholders and others, so ask and they may have a deal for you. If you know when you want to play I guess it doesn't hurt to call ahead, but we didn't have any trouble.
