Mini golf at Disney, worth it or not?

Is the mini golf worth the time? I will have an extra bonus visit this trip and was wondering about this. I just don't get mini golf so I thought I would ask. Use it or lose it?

This depends on your family. Disney mini golfs are amazing but if you’re not mini golf people then avoid it. Personally we rarely go because there are so many other things to do and because we do enough mini golf at myrtle beach every summer. It’s a personal preference thing.

If it is free and you have the time, go for it. If it doesn't interest you or you would rather do other things, then do it. If it comes as a coupon you can give to someone else, you could always sprinkle a little pixie dust, but if it is tied to your magic band or is otherwise nontrabsferable that won't work obviously.

Only caveat....if going in May/June avoid twilight. The mosquitos completely ruined it for us last summer. I have never had an issue with mosquitos in all of Disney except at Winter Summerland.

I think it has to be used or you have to start playing before 4 p.m. It will be tied to our bands. If we do go which is the better themed one, the most fun?

Winter Summerland is much more fun than Fantasia Gardens in my family’s opinion.

If you have kids, WinterSummerland is a great way to spend sometime. Heck, we are 2 60 somethings & we loved it. We have been going to WDW for 26 years & never went til last April. We enjoyed it so much we went again on our trip in February.

WinterSummerland is a Christmas theme with all kinds of cute Disney & Christmas characters on each hole. We really enjoy mini golf & there are none left near our home. So we’ll probably play again in April or try the Fantasia course.

We played three rounds last year: the easier Fantasia Gardens course, and then both courses at Winter/Summerland. I think the “summer” course was my personal favorite. The theming is really well done. But you can’t go wrong with any of them, unless you just don’t like mini-golf (which is totally understandable).

We don’t do park-heavy trips, so these types of activities are perfect for us.

We might do it as it is something we have never done before and I don't want the entitlement to go to waste. I need to add on another day to our trip and could do this no problem. Problem is we won't be able to get another day at SSR but probably could get it at POR through our TA. Uggh, a stay with one night at POR, 4 nights at SSR and then one last night back at POR.

We love Mini Golf at Disney. The Winter/Summerland course is so cute and fun. We are going to try the Fantasia Course this year as we are staying at Boardwalk so easy to get to that one from there.
Not sure if you'll like it though as you say you don't like Mini Golf.

If you enjoy mini golf and have the time definitely give it a shot. The Disney courses are like nothing that I have ever seen before and present a better challenge beyond the usual windmills etc...

We did the one near Swan/Dolphin. I wanted to try new things. It was busy - we had to wait awhile before they would let us start. It was a lot of standing around waiting for the groups in front of us to finish. It was summer and it was very hot. If you think it will be fun, do it. But don’t do it just because you have a free coupon. A Disney vacation is supposed to be fun, not full of things you think you should do even though your group won’t enjoy it.

We are just back from our trip to WDW, we went to the Winter Summerland course one morning when it was overcast and supposed to rain a bit later in the day. We had the best time. It wasn't crowded and we just took our time and enjoyed ourselves. I wouldn't want to do it in the hot sun if it was 95 degrees out though.

Our teens love the Fantasia easy course. We did Winter-Summerland when they were younger (maybe 9 and 7), and it was perfect because the Winter course was pretty easy. The theming on all courses is great for Disney lovers!

I feel you can mini golf anywhere....This is Disney! We only do the things you cant do anywhere else....The Disney parks, resorts and Downtown Disney. Water parks are other places also...but Typhoon Lagoon is unique. IMHO..its worth a visit every time we go. BB is kinda like others.. We spend probably 90% of our waking hours in the parks. Just cant beat it.
We do allocate one day for resort hopping..looking around stuff.

Depends on your trip. If it's going to take away from park time, I'd skip it. But for us it's a good way to spend a few hours if we have a non-park day. We spend a few hours in the pool and then go to mini golf, or vice versa. If you've got the vouchers, it's a great way to spend some inexpensive time in the Disney bubble. Our kids don't like walking around Disney Springs or resort hopping.

Our family enjoys mini golf at home if we are bored. So on trips to Disney we always opted to skip on mini golf, until we moved to Florida ( short term for about a year near Disney world.) This is when we actually took the time to explore Disney off the mainstream path we normally took on vacation. We have played at both mini golf courses. While I am glad we did during our year there, I doubt I'd ever go again on a trip( unless we move back to the area.) It is cute/ fun, but nothing amazing in my opinion. If you go to Disney often and are looking for a new experience, give it a try.....but to me it isn't a must do.

We stay at the BoardWalk and last year my boys and husband did the Fantasia course (at night) and they had so much fun. I told them we can do it again when we go back. We had a coupon as part of our package, but we don't this time, so I will just spring for it since they are looking forward to it. My advice is to do it during a time the parks are otherwise really crowded.
