Mini DLR update

Went to DLR yesterday and tried to get info on stuff.

Actually got an ETA for Magic Mirror cards. Lady there said 2-3 weeks. She was told that they would be getting them again.

I think this is posted elsewhere. Pirate prize pack for completing the quests has been replaced with different items. Didn't pay that much attention since I couldn't get it, but items I remembered were Nemo chair, Lifestyle collection, Tent room, Adventureland posters, BTMR Teleporter, Fantasyland retro pin.

Couldn't ask about Gold doors because theywere doing media/special guests/etc riding for Monsters and it was closed to regular folks.\

hey do you know the deal with the tomorrowland quest? i was going to take it with me when i went to disneyland.

Rode Monsters Inc on Saturday.....still no VMK cards.....CM told me mid-February (doesn't help me....went to Guest Relations in CA and he was surly, uncaring and unhelpful)

Did the Tomorrowland quest and the other three quests on Sunday, so go for it purplegoddess

I was there yesterday too. I turned in the tomorrowland quest and got all the prizes for it.

I also turned in the Frontierland quest and got those. He also gave us bracelets and the pack with the Nemo chair, Fantasyland Retro pin, train teleporter, Rhino poster, Gorilla poster, explorer carpet, Safari lifestyle collection, tent room & hippo rug. I did not turn in the other quests because i couldn't remember all the answers to them. Will do that next time. Also, the CM told the person in front of me they were out of the Briarstone prize (sorry if that's not what it is called, can't remember...it's one of the prizes in the Fantasyland quests). I also asked if they had any Holiday quest cards left, he looked and they did not.

I asked the CM at VMK Central if they were getting rid of the quests and he said no. But he also said he hadn't worked the VMK booth in a long time. I asked about the Monster's Inc cards and he didn't know anything about them. Today is the official Grand Opening of the ride. Like Coasterguy said, it was closed yesterday to the public...only open the the media. So we didn't get to ride it. Gr!

CM I talked to said new Quests were coming. Since the current ones 'expire' at the end of the month. Guess they will keep using them until the new ones are available.

Went to DLR today 1-23-06. No gold doors, still allowing tomorrowland quest tho.

They stopped giving the briarstone and purple carpet as early as last week that I know of. They ran out of those cards. I think they are trying to get rid of the series 1 before all the quests expire. The 'prize packs' for completing a couple or all of the quests on the same day are almost random. They are mainly series 1 cards that you don't get as prizes for the normal quests. They've replaced the purple carpet with the adventureland retro pin and the briarstone with the fantasyland castle retro pin. And for two days now they haven't give me the series 2 fantasyland quest pin and, instead, have replaced it with haunted mansion graveyard tree. Also inside Innoventions, at random times throughout the day a CM will hold a scavenger hunt, where you find different rooms or elements in the game the fastest. Prizes are one of the series 1 cards. One day they were giving out haunted mansion conservatory room cards!! A manager was hosting the scavenger hunt that day. When the regular CM did it, the hunt prizes were cactus chair, fantasyland castle retro pin, and adventureland retro pin cards. One prize card per person.

well i see i need to give no report lol! everyone knows the gold doors are out and darkpraxis did an excellent job talking about everything else. rock on my fellow disneyland goers!

Magic mirrors are in!!!!!! I still can't believe that I didn't get Pirate quest cards! But I did get a tent room. I suppose that's okay. I just really wanted the other stuff.
