I know the choices are limited for the mini castle cake, but is it any good? It is just the two of us and we will be celebrating our anniversary at Narcoosse's. Please share your thoughts on the cake.

Thanks!

My hubby and I thought it was quite tasty - we had vanilla cake with vanilla creme filling and white frosting. It was a gorgeous little piece of culinary art and we loved every bite of it! :thumbsup2

Where can we find a picture of this? Where can we get it served and who do we need to call?:worship:

I ordered the castle cake for dbf's birthday this past January during our tea at the Grand Floridian. It was extremely pretty:

And it was about 17 dollars, I think? Well either way, it was under 20 bucks. However, the kicker: it did not taste exceptional. While it did taste "good", I am afraid it did not garner any "mmmm"s from either of us. The problem is that the icing was more like whipped cream than buttercream, and it was very very cold. Think of the inside like a hollow cylinder. The outside of the cylinder was your choice of cake (I chose chocolate) and it was a very thin layer. The rest was the inside, the filing which was chocolate mousse. The mousse was not at all on par to the mousse you would find at france. It was rather bitter. We did enjoy the white chocolate topper though.

While it was an overall okay experience to eat it, the only appeal to it was its extravagant looks.
