Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

A friend of mine is going to look at my laptop tomorrow and see if he can fix it. Until then, I'll just have to make do with being here when I am at school/ after hours/on breaks and when/if I can borrow Trent's. I am hoping it will be a simple fix, but I have a gut feeling it won't be. John and Jarvis both looked at it briefly, but they didn't see an obvious problem, so it's probably going to be something big. Someone here at school says it probably has a virus, so however long it takes to fix one of those is whenever I'll have my normal contact with the outside world again. I am sorry that I will not be able to catch up on some of your reports nearly as quickly as I would like.

I didn't see your post before my last post - if it's the virus I got (Vista Antivirus 2012 is the name of the virus) it shouldn't be too bad. I finally found a great website that walked me through it. I've been following a thread here on the DIS of some other people who got it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Welcome Home!!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip! :goodvibes I hope your computer gets fixed quickly & easily.

So sorry to hear about Joan. I'll definitely have her & her family in my thoughts.

Welcome Home MeMom and Jill!!

Glad to hear you had a fun time and can't wait to read all about it. Bummer about your laptop. Hope it gets fixed soon and is not to costly.

I am so sorry to hear about Joan. I will be prayinf for her and your family. Hugs.

Memom and family, It was nice getting to meet you all and hang out! Aren't we lucky that we had such good weather. I see that it was much colder there today, like everywhere else.
Hope your computer gets fixed soon!
Sorry to hear about Aunt Joan!:grouphug:

Where were you on the Dis when you got the virus? I will try to be careful so I don't get it.

Welcome home!

I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful trip, but I am very sorry to hear the news about Aunt Joan.

I am looking forward to the new TR, I was thinking about you guys often over the holiday, and I enjoyed all the photos on facebook.

Welcome home!

So sorry that you got bad news about Joan. Everyone is in my thoughts.

I, too, wish we lived in DIS town (or just closer:rolleyes:) as I am sure my hubby could figure out your computer troubles. He's a whiz with that stuff. I hope it turns out to be an easy fix!

Wish we lived closer - Ray could take a look at your computer. If it's fixable, he could do it. And he wouldn't charge you anything. He kindly accepts donations but doesn't charge for fixing friends' computers. :)

So sorry to hear the bad news about Joan. You guys will be in my prayers.

Stay warm!!!:cold:

Welcome back!!! I'm glad you guys had a great trip!!

I'm so sorry to hear the update on your Aunt Joan. I will be hoping for the best for her and all of you.

So sorry for the bad news on Joan. She and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

That really stinks about your computer. Hopefully you will be able to get it fixed without too much expense.

Glad you guys had a great trip, and that you are all home safe.

I was thinking about you as we were driving through Nashville on our way to and from Memphis. On the way to Memphis, I am happy to see Nashville knowing that we are on the last leg of our trip, but on the way home when I see Nashville, I know we are just getting started. :sad2:

Welcome home and can't wait to start reading a new report.

Thanks for the warm welcomes home, for the concern about Joan, and for the good wishes for Jill's Facebook return and my laptop troubles. My friend at school says he thinks he will be able to look at it today. It's probably a virus, I am told, but we'll see. Jill's FB is back, so all is well there.

Joan may get to come home tomorrow with Hospice care. When you hear that word, you know it's not a good situation. We just hope her passing can be as pain-free as possible. This is not easy, as so many of you know and have experienced. I can't imagine how Ray felt as 2012 came in. His birthday is January 1st, and I know all he was thinking was that this is the year he will lose his wife. This was the last Christmas, the last New Year, the last everything for Joan. This time last year, no one would have believed it, as all was normal and happy. That's why I say over and over how important it is that we make and treasure our family/friend times, both big and small.

I have to hit the ground running now. The kids will be here soon, and I have to make some copies of a poem they will copy and illustrate when they come in. Maybe my laptop will be fixed today and I can get back to normal. I appreciate the offers for help in fixing it,a nd if Jason can't get it fixed, I may well take some of you up on the offer. ;)

We have DIS friends in the middle of trips right now, and some are on their way! :cool1: I hope they have great weather and low crowds, and I look forward to their pictures.

Make it a magical day, DIStown!

Count me in as to someone else who got this virus. Nasty little bug. I am not at all computer savvy, so I took it to the Geek Squad. They had my computer for 4 days, then when I got it back, my internet was messed up. Today is the first day in a week that I have been able to use the computer. I am sorry somebody hacked Jill's account. Sorry about your laptop. Many prayers will be said for Joan and her family.

Definitely sending prayers and good thoughts to you and Joan's family. I know this will be a very difficult time for all of you I pray that comfort and love will be found when most needed!!!

Glad you had a great trip! Count me in as another who is very much looking forward to your trip report!! Pixie dust that your computer is an easy fix!!

I am so sorry to hear about Joan. What a reminder of how every moment does count. I am praying for peace and love during this time.

Awwww... I'm sorry to hear about Joan, MeMom. I'll be sending my thoughts and prayers to you and Joan's family as you go through this tough time.

I'm glad to hear you had a great trip though, hope your laptop gets fixed so we can read all about it! :mickeyjum Happy to hear Bella warmed up to the characters more too. :)

I'm so sorry to hear about Joan  I'm glad to hear she'll be at home though. My aunt didn't want to die in a hospital, but that's what ended up happening. They had told us she had two weeks to two months left and they were working on getting her home with hospice care. 10 days later we got the call that she probably wouldn't make it through the night and 33 hours later she was gone :sad1: She died the day before her birthday. My uncle's(her husband) birthday was a few days after they told us she wouldn't make it. I think Caleb's first birthday was a day or two after we found out. That was a rough month :sad2:

On a happier note, I'm living vicariously through Meg today ;) I was supposed to have a doctor's appointment today but my doctor is sick so instead I'm gonna hang out at home in my pajamas DISing and watching Disney videos on youtube :thumbsup2 I'll be a little sad on Saturday since that's the day we were supposed to leave, but then I'll remember that we're going in March :dance3:

Happy new Year, and i'm glad you arrived back from your lovely trip safe and well. I really am so sorry to be reading your sad news about your beloved Aunt Joan.I pray for her and her family and loved one's. On a lighter note, i can't wait to start reading your Trip report. Things are hectic at pre-school, with lot's of little ones being settled in on their first week, and after school activities starting again, but i will try and get a little DIS time in, to brighten the horrid UK weather.

Welcome Back!!! Sorry to hear about the Facebook account. When I read that comment, I thought it seemed odd coming from Jill... I guess we know why. lol. Cannot wait to hear about trip...

Welcome Home! So glad you had a good time but very sorry to hear about Joan. Will keep her and you in my prayers.

Good luck with the computer!
