any word on this at all? anyone at the park now that can comment?

They were running empty every time I passed yesterday. They had a CM standing out front.

I'm going this weekend, if it is open I'll pass the news on.

Saw them today running empty cars. There was anywhere from 2-4 cast members at the entrance the few times I passed it.

Seems to be the same for the last few days. I've been hearing they are working on running them constantly as if they would be for full capacity. They have been running about 40 seconds apart which would infer 4 cars running at max capacity. This would also infer they are gearing up for large scale soft opening.

I was there Monday and Tuesday... I hung around the Mine Train and talked to the cast members there... Hoping for a soft opening... it did not happen.. and of course they told me it was not going to happen.. checked back every hour or so, and nothing... they just kept telling me May 28th... LOL... I have Fastpass+ for June 5th. I'm back home now and at least I will get on it then.... looking forward to it... :cool1:

I am at MK right now. cM an hour ago told me that it is absolutely no through Thursday but said that we might want to walk by randomly on Friday because they might randomly allow non CM. They are running CM previews at this very moment. Sorry for grammar but in mne for dole whip so no time for grammar and punctuation. :)

Thats what I've been hearing maybe a random test in Friday.

I'm here now too - as of 11:30am today, they were running full trains, but only CM were allowed in. People were having to show Disney ID to the CM "gatekeeper". Oh well.

I must be obsessed with my desire to ride because I dreamed we got on it last night. Hope it is foreshadowing. Then again I also dreamed I was in a Shakespeare play and 10 minutes before curtain I realized that I didn't know a single one of my lines. I think that is probably not going to happen so maybe one out of two will.

Yesterday it was running, but just like mentioned above it was only for CM. Looks like the first time I'll be riding is on the 28th.

It's MK CM's only and then they'll do all WDW CM's...not sure what happens after that. I read on another thread they do testing...like for vomiting? :confused3

Just returned last night. As of Tuesday they were only letting select CM's ride. I heard from a birdy (can't vouch for accuracy) that they may delay to Jun 30th general public. Fast Pass + folks would be reassigned to a different ride.

I did the obligatory check in with a CM today (supervisor at the ride) and I talked to her about the message board rumors and she just smiled and said I should keep reading the message boards and consider checking again Friday. I kind of got the impression she was insinuating the rumors of possible non CM rides were feasible. She could have just been having fun letting me believe what I want as well. I am sure they are beyond tired of answering the same question every 2 minutes.

Since they have publically announced the 28th as the opening day I would think it would take something pretty major to delay the opening beyond that date.

Don't most rides soft open for at least a few weeks before official opening? I would think they'd have to soft open pretty soon if they intend to officially open on May 28.

We were there again yesterday and the people we talked to were less vague than they previously were. Three different people explicitly said they were only doing cast member previews and they left no hint that it was going to change. Yesterday was just for MK cast members so I'd guess they will continue with other parks in order. We are home now so looks like we will have to wait until September (if it is actually open by then)
