Sorry if this has been addressed already, but can't do a search...

Will there be FP+ immediately when Mine Train opens? What has been the trend for other new rides in the past? Was FP available right away?

We are 15 days from making our FP+ reservations. Have it all mapped out, but this will throw a monkey wrench in the plans for our MK days.

I doubt anyone knows. This is the first big attraction to open since paper FP's have been eliminated so there's no precedent yet.

I was thinking in terms of the old system...I realize that the FP+ is new. I just didn't know if they added FP (old) to new rides right away in the past.

Well with FP- you walked up to the attraction the day of and pull a FP out if there are any left. With FP+ resort guests can book it in advance, and with the Mine Train being brand new since the roll out of FP+, no one really knows how pre-booking is going to work. I would assume if you're comparing it to FP-, you could go up to a FP+ kiosk the day of and try to schedule one.

nevermind...seems that I was not clear in what I was asking. I fully understand how FP- and PF+ worked/works. I was just wondering what was the precident in the past for new rides and fast pass options in general. I "googled" it and found my answer on another board. Thank you anyway.

I completely understand your question as it was stated in the original post.

She is curious if there were fast pass machines at new attractions the day they opened OR if it took longer for the new rides to get fast pass access.

I'm curious about this as well.

Can you share what answer you found please

BridgetR3, I still don't know what the precedent was for new rides under the old system, but from what I gathered in my google search.....There will be FP+ but not until official opening, which we don't have an exact date yet. The soft openings will be testing phase and FP is not needed for that.

I know it will be open when we get there in late May, so I will just have to modify our plans once it is available. The wait times will be extreme since it's the new ride....definitely want to utilize FP+ for it.

Thank you for finding that information out and posting it here. We arrive a day before you and I too have been wondering about the Mine Train and FP+. I sat down a couple of nights ago just to jot down which FP+ I was going to reserve before we leave and I did have the Mine Train as one of them with the assumption that it will be a FP+ attraction. Since we will be there at the start of Memorial Day weekend, and if the Mine Train does infact have FP+, I wanted to make sure to reserve it because I have a feeling that will be the only way we will be able to get on the thing. I hope concrete news about this will be posted soon :goodvibes.

Our 60 day is this weekend - and I plan to build a plan with a 'slot' available for the 60 day window. Then, every morning, I will check at 6am - and again around 9-ish to see if I can add it on.

I mean....

Uh....

Don't go looking until it posts here. Then...

Wait a few days...

YEAH! THAT's it!

I wonder if when Mine Train opens, they will change MK rides to Tier and make it a tier 1 ride, We are there 5/3-5/9 but we don't expect to get a FP for it and SB will be horrific, at least that's what I think.
