I have a long way to go. I just started Atkins on Monday, and so far so good. I don't plan on weighing myself very often, because I get demoralized when I see only tiny reductions in weight.

I need to lose at least 100 pounds and 120 would be better. My weight has been a problem for years, and I need to lose it. I don't want to have the gastric bypass surgery so this has to work.

Help!!!

I'm on Atkins, too. :) The first week is the hardest. I tried Atkins several years ago, and quit after the first few days.
This time I'm sticking with it. It really does get much easier, once you find your "groove". Good luck to you!
 
Welcome to our family of losers here at WISH!

don't let the big old number overwhelm you, most of us are here and planning to stay for a long time, no matter how big or little our amount to loss maybe. Some are at goal and maintaining, but hey, we're all in this together!

There was a thread started by anniet on setting a mini-goal for July 4 - maybe that would be a good place for you to start. That's not a long way off, set something realistic but one you have to make a committment too. Even, just staying on your plan until then :)

Also, if you're interested a PM Buddy is a great way to stay committed and on track!

Hey, <b>addicted_to_WDW!</b> It's great to see you here on WISH. This is just so much fun. I have another new member of my support group, how great is that? I happen to think it's pretty darn great :teeth:

Will you do me a favor and post to our WISH challenge thread, too? It just helps me keep our member roster up-to-date and I would appreciate it if you would post there. That thread is <b>HERE</b>.

There is also a special WISH member clipart you may add to your signature, if you wish. This clipart was designed by our own Kelsie and is exempt from the DIS clipart restrictions. There is an excellent post by Wovenwonder telling you how to add this clipart <b>HERE</b>. If you need help adding the clipart just pm glo, Kelsie or me, or just ask for help on the technical support board.

I follow the Atkins plan too. I started off with at least 100 (maybe 120) pounds to lose. I still have a long way to go but I'm almost 40 pounds closer to goal now.

WISH is the most positive and helpful forum I have ever found and everyone loves Disney, just like me :) It's really great here. If you have questions, need advice or feel like sitting down with a bag of Oreos, just come here to WISH and post and you will get speedy replies from your support group. Everyone on WISH is always ready to help you out and all we ask in return is that <i>you</i> help <i>us</i> when we need help.

It's actually a pretty good deal, don't you think? I think you're going to like it here. I do and I'm very pleased to see that you are one of us now. <b>Welcome!</b>
