Mimi's vs. Millie's?

Millie's is in the parking lot of the Fairfield Inn - Mimi's is a half a block further north.

We have eaten at both places and recommend both. Millie's is like a Denny's when it comes to meals offered. Mimi's has a lot of home cooked type meals along with regular items.

IMO you can't go wrong with either one. Why not try both on your trip and you can decide for yourself? :thumbsup2

We usually go to Millies because they have some healthier options for pancakes - but basically they are the same.

Mimis has a great breakfast just under $6 that we like (huge fresh muffin, eggs, potatos, fresh OJ). The lunch dinner portions are usually large which is nice for the money but not the belly.

But either choice is 100% better then dennys, mcdonalds or the one that used to be called moms that is close to the BW Park Place Inn.. or somewhere in there smooched between the hotels.

Also its a good way to have a good relaxing meal before you take off for crazy fun in the parks.

Enjoy!

Of the two, I would recomend Mimi's. Millies is very run of the mill, nothing really special. I would rather spend my money to eat in the park then at Millies. Not that the food or service were bad, just not great.

Mimi's has great muffins, fresh juice, and a wide range of great things on the menu. Portions are very large- great to share.

Mimi's is in the next parking lot right next door to Millies. I agree with everything else you wrote. :goodvibes

can you share at both places?

I would say that Mimi's is a lot more share-able than Millie's. Millies is a lot cheaper and has more coffee shop, homestyle cooked food (like Denny's, but much better and cheaper IIRC than the Denny's at the crosswalk). Mimi's is a little more fancy, but very tasty and much larger portions. If you go to Mimi's they have awesome bread baskets that they serve with their meals, and you can ask for more. Their raisin bread is really good (okay it's almost to die for) as are the other breads in the basket! We found that 1 meal is enough to feed me and my 19yo DS or me and my DH. So that made it cheaper. The food at Mimi's is rich tasting. (Pasta w/ cream sauce, Chicken pot pie, etc.) and Millie's more like homestyle food. (I'm thinking meatloaf, hamburgers, chicken IIRC) When I last went there I ate breakfast at 9pm so I don't recall what they had on their dinner menu, but their breakfast was good!I love breakfast food -- it's so difficult to mess it up! :lmao: :goodvibes

we want to try the MC at Millies they showed on there website. an mimis we want to do at least one breakfast there. but i dont eat much i cant eat eggs most the time ..some times i can but most the time i wont touch it.

I would get the chicken fried stake breakfast an give eggs to dh an wed share. Because in the morning im a light eater.

can you share at both places?
Yes,my DM and I do it quite often.:goodvibes We have a Mimi's not too far away. Last time we ate there we both had one of their new "Just Right Meals" or something like that and found that we would have been fine sharing the smaller meals as well. (had leftovers).

Ditto PP comments about the breadbasket. At our Mimi's you have to ask for it but it is so good!! Love the carrot/raisin bread. It's great for dessert. The've recently changed the white rolls, not as good as the loaves they used to have. They now have a new bread (server said it was banana) it was good but I didn't taste any banana. More like cake too. Ask for more and if you don't finish it-take it with you. (A cleverly brought along ziploc would keep it fresh in your room for days!)

Mimi's salads and pastas are very good. Kid's meals are also excellent-the turkey dinner is a great value.

I've never eaten at Millie's so my choice would be Mimi's.

Oh, and I love their french dip too!

ITA. :thumbsup2

Mimi's also has a nice Fitness Menu. :)

I have no idea what MIllie's is but if it IS like Denny's - Mimi's is 100x's BETTER.

We have Mimi's Cafes where I live & it's the go to place when you want something other than mexican or italian. It's supposed to have French Quarter flair to it....a sauce here a sausage there - no escargot I promise! LOL

My fave is breakfast. The Monterey omelette w/ one of their muffins...yummmm!! Their menu's online - have a look!
