I was thinking of eating dinner there since its so close to our hotel. Is there any difference? Does anyone have a preference for one over the other?

I prefer mimi's (that's the one right next to HOJos' right?) just because I liked the "feel" of the place better. Millie's had large portions of food decent prices and the place was deserted but I prefer the food and atmosphere at mimi's.

Us too!

No doubt Mimi's!!!!! Millies reminds me of a dennys. Mimi's food is great HUGE portions, great service!!:cheer2:

For the past 7 years, Miilie's has been our breakfast stop on our way to the Park. We love it. Good food, great service and never a wait. We also like their Christmas decorations! It's become a tradition for us.

We did not have a good dinner experience at Mimi's, the service was very very slow (and the place was not busy) and the food so so. Had a great breakfast at Millie's however.

I agree that Mimi's is a bit more upscale and Millie's more like Denny's.
The food at Mimi's was wonderful! It has a more varied menu and the bread is to die for.
The food at Millie's was good but not great-I agree it's a good breakfast place.

For those of you wanting breakfast early to make early entry, I noticed that Millie's is open much earlier than Mimi's. However, in terms of food and "ambiance" Mimi's wins hands down!

How is everyone's overall experience with the service at Mimi's?
We had one just open by us and we were very excited to try it. The atmosphere and food is very good...the service was HORRIBLE, and I know it is hard to compare two different locations, but with wanting to do parks, we want to be time effecient as well. My one gripe was that the kids' grilled cheese meal was served with only 1/2 a sandwich...hello,....how expensive is one more piece of bread and cheese? Never seen such a thing....
Now I'm leary to try it, but is it overall cheaper than park food and DTD?
Budget will be something we need to consider for this upcoming trip...
Thanks for any opinions!

I am a huge fan of Mimi's. The food is awesome and the service is really good too. The atmosphere is also really comfortable, which helps give you a nice relaxing meal.

Well I can tell you that I have two Mimi's near me and both of them have given me very lousy service on numerous occasions! However, the one across the street from Disneyland has had great food and service all three times I have eaten there. Its cheaper than any sitdown, full service options inside the parks and the portions are large enough to share. Obviously you can get a corn dog and coke from a cart cheaper but thats about it. I like the many salad and sandwich options and my son loves it that they always serve breakfast. But again, the portions are huge, so definitely think about sharing. It is always busy, we had to wait at about 2:00 p.m. for lunch a few Saturday's ago, but the wait was less than what they told us and once we sat down it moved right along. Sometimes its just nice to take a break from the parks!

We love Mimis! We have a couple locally and have eaten at the one near DL as well. Yummy food, nice atmosphere, all at Dennys (which IMO is nasty LOL) prices! Can't beat that!

Thanks for the positive feedback! We will definately give Mimi's a try when we go. :)
