MIL'S Tradition will not be broken even though we are leaving next Sat.

Every year for the past 10 years on MLK day we always took my MIL to the Seneca Niagara casino in Niagara Falls. No particular reason we picked this day, it was just that DH got this off of work every year, so I would take a vacation day for the mid winter break. This year we are leaving for WDW on the Sat prior to MLK day, so the tradition has been lost.

When booking I did not even notice the holiday as I was using the calendar at work which did not show the holiday. . Bad DIL

But wait, I found a loophole It seems the actual MLK birthday falls on Friday the night before we leave. I spoke with DH and then we both stopped over her house. I explained the loophole I found. She totally and happily agreed, it would still work and not break the family tradition

So this Friday morning after I print out my boarding passes for SW Airlines. We will pick her up at 9 am and drive up to the casino. Afterward we will take her out to lunch. Then be back by mid afternoon to finish getting ready for the trip. Crisis averted, everyone is happy. Who knows maybe I will win some extra cash for the trip. Last time we went a few months ago I won a few hundred which I stashed away for this trip.
