Milkshakes -- desssert or beverage?

Does Milkshakes count as a beverage or snack.
In past at All Stars we used it as the beverage and dessert, but that was in May
wonder if it's changed

In February we were given the choice of a milkshake as our beverage on the dining plan at the 50s Prime Time Cafe in HS. Not sure if this is the same at other restaurants though, as this was the only TS restaurant that gave us this option.

You can also get milkshake for a beverage at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Generally, milkshakes are considered a specialty drink, so that won't qualify as a drink on the DDP. However, some of the Disney-owned venues (like 50's PT and WCC) are more flexible.

We've gotten milkshakes as beverages at 50's PTC and Whispering Canyon Cafe with no problem. And the milkshake the Whispering Canyon was an all-you-care-to-drink one!

I think the OP is talking about QS credits (assuming by reference to All Stars and snack credits).

I can't give you a full answer but can confirm that it was a snack credit at POFQ last year in October and was clearly marked as such. I would think that they would allow it as a dessert as well, however I don't know if it counts as a beverage with a CS meal as I have never asked.

At CS locations, a milkshake is a dessert allotment for an adult dining credit. Once in a blue moon a CM will let you get a milkshake as your drink allotment but the CM is breaking rules in allowing it. Several years ago it seemed to be allowed pretty standard as the drink but like all other things involving dining plans, crack downs and limitations were imposed.

At TS locations, a milkshake is your choice of a drink or dessert allotment for an adult dining credit but only a dessert allotment for a child dining credit.
