I was planning on using netgrocer to order milk and other snacks ahead of time for my kids (1 & 7) but was told that the milk won't fit in the fridge. Also, getting a fridge is on a first come basis so it's possible we wouldnt have anywhere to store it. What do you suggest? The 1 year old will have to have milk. Thanks!!

No worries...you can buy milk almost anywhere on WDW property.

Also, if you want to keep milk in your room but are concerned about the size of the refrigerator, just fill your ice bucket every morning and evening and keep the milk in your ice bucket.

Add a small styrofoam ice chest to the Netgrocer order. It will only cost a few dollars, and you'll be able to toss it when you are done. IMO, it's worth the hassle of filling a small ice chest to be able to keep milk in your room. When our milk junkie was small and wanted some milk, he wanted it NOW, not in 45 minutes, after Mommy got dressed and went down to the snack bar for it.

It depends on where you are staying, moderate and deluxe WDW resorts have a frige in every room, no need to request one. They are the dorm size yes, but certainly big enough for a 1/2 gallon of milk.

If you are staying at a value, frige is not only first come first serve but $10.60 per day to rent. In that case we always did what NotUrsula suggested and got a cheap styrafam cooler to use for the stay.

Either way you will be able to get milk from the goods to go area and food courts to keep in the room. A full ice bucket keeps a "chug milk" cold all night!

Are the milks (chug milk) that you buy at the resort outragessly expensive?!

Good idea NotUrsula about the cooler. Thanks!

Hi there, just a thought. I always bring along a few Parmalat from Wal-mart in my luggage. I don't use it at home (just keep it on hand for snow emergencies) but it is really easy to take along on my trips and it tastes exactly the same. It comes in a fairly small sturdy 1 quart square container that fits easily anywhere. ..even in the really small WDW fridge. Also, it fits easily in an ice bucket overnight.

Don't remember the cost but what isn't at Disney? :sad2: Go with the cooler or use the in-room fridge for 1/2 gallons.

You could take a collapsable cooler, just in case the fridges are all taken. I used one a couple of years ago (we flew and it was in my suitcase) and just filled it in the AM and PM with ice and kept it in the bathtub when we weren't using the tub. I'm from Bham, driving down Dec. 29th.

Hope ya'll have fun!

been twice and used a fridge both times and a gallon of milk will fit in the fridge if you lay it on its side. Just make sure the lid is on tight!!! :thumbsup2
