Milk on a Plane

Strange question but am just wondering how do you get on giving a baby/toddler milk on planes (particularly International flights)? Previously I have just taken powdered formula (in formula dispensers) and added water and it in the bottles but now Baby Girl is on regular plain milk. Obviously I can't take a big bottle of milk with us to use each time...sooo...any advice? We are flying Qantas this time, for first time and will be travelling for 24 hours. I'm sure I am over thinking this but it is a 'new' part of travelling that is bugging me trying to work it out.

I have just bought a small bottle of milk once I get through security. It doesn't stay really cold but it's fine for a 2-3 hr flight. Another option would be to bring a freezer pack to keep it cold. As long as it is frozen solid you should be able to get it through security.

How old is your baby girl? I have flown internationally (although never 24 hours) and would bring my DD's milk in a sippy cup which was in a small soft sided cooler with other food items (some frozen others not). She is 3.5 now so no longer uses a sippy cup but I never had an issue. I always got stopped for an extra security check though which I expected. Check with your airline though because they very well may have milk on the plane and you don't need to worry.

I've purchased it in the terminal and gotten some on the plane while travelling.

Dd is on soy milk, and we are bringing shelf stable singles on the plane with us. They are 8oz packages, no need to keep cold, and Dd will drink them without needing them warmed up. I know they make shelf stable singles in whole milk too..perhaps that is an option

I usually get the Horizons milk and you can pick them up pretty much anywhere.
