Milk & Juice - buy it or bring it?

We're flying into Disney at the end of next month. This is new for me because I usually stockpile my Suburban for trips and don't buy snacks and drinks. We won't have a car either and will be relying on Disney Transport. Getting a car to purchase groceries seems a little excessive to me. I plan to ship my snacks to the hotel room. However, I'm not sure whether to ship the milk/juice boxes or purchase them at the convenience store or hotel. We're staying at the Dolphin. Amazon has free shipping and offers the Horizon milk single serves that don't need to cold.

Does anyone know the average price for a juice box or milk carton/bottle at the resorts?

TIA!! :goodvibes

Our last trip DS was 4. We flew and I packed about 12 juice boxes. We had Costco deliver a case of water (well worth it). I also took mini cereal boxes
and bought a half gallon of milk at the resort. Pretty cheap. I took along a few disposable bowls and spoons for the cereal as well.

Allears.net has a lot of great info and menus on what each resort offers. You should be able to find out about juice boxes there.

Just remembered we also brought along a few powdered single drink mixes to mix in the water for variety.

We plan on ordering snacks..water..milk...juice and pampers from the Garden Grocer. I have seen this on another thread and people seem to have had good experiences with them. This is there website: www.gardengrocer.com. I think they charge 12.00 deliver but I would probably pay that much is shipping chargers

I finally found a price for anyone else that is interested, the range is $1.75-$2.00 each so it will be cheaper to order it and mail it to the room.

Neither, it's vacation. There's drinks in the parks, even if it's diet soda.

But then I've never been to Disney with someone under 2 1/2. If I did, I would have a different answer.

Diet soda for kids? Blech!! JMO. We are not soda drinkers. It will be water most of the day for us

Depends on the age. When my kids were under 5 or 6, they would get juice or milk if they want (but not outside in the heat). But I still woudln't bother bringing or buying my own drinks.

After that, meh, at least it's better than sugared soda.

My girls are 4 & 6.

The drinks are for our room. I wouldn't carry them around the park. I'm carrying two bottled waters and that will be it.

I didn't mean to be rude, I just don't like sugar free stuff unless it would be medically necessary.

We just got back from a trip to Disney with a almost 3 year old. We stayed at POR. Milk was reasonable. We bought a 1/2 gallon from the on-site store for $3 and change. Juice was very expensive. A single size 8 oz bottle of juice was somewhere between $2 and $3. I bought a poweraid and it was over $4. We flew southwest so our bags were free. We packed an entire suitcase of sancks / juice boxes / etc to save some money.

Thanks for sharing!

I will order juice & water from Amazon and have it shipped to the hotel. The milk sounds reasonable which will be for breakfast.

Our flight is inexpensive $99 round trip each but the extra charges are crazy. Our per bag charge is $40.

ah someone beat me to it...I was going to say Juices are more expensive...I bought milk for like $1 at one place in Disney world..I can't remember if it was Ak or Mk...

also at the resort I bought half gallon and it was under $3.00

I have a car but didn't feel like drving off property...

No problem.

I don't mean to be rude either. I just don't understand the concept of hauling a lot of stuff around on vacation. Seems more trouble than it's worth. My kids are a lot older now so maybe that's part of it, but even when they were 5 and 2 we didn't worry about stuff like this.
