Military Salute Tickets & Staying at GC - EMH Entry?

We will have 3 day military park hoppers, and we're staying at the Grand Californian ...the tickets were bought separately from the reservation. How is it indicated that we're allowed to use the extra magic hour in the mornings?

EMH is available on both check-in day and check-out day.

If you're staying at VGC instead of just the GF, are you eligible for early entry? I believe that I read "no" but as I get a little closer, I just want to be sure.

VGC guests are eligible for EMH.
