Where can I learn more about these? I just realized that we may be eligible, as DH is retired Air Force; for some reason I thought it was only active military.

I'm not sure it makes much of a difference because we usually book far in advance, and I think these are offered closer to sailing? We also use OBB so I'm not sure how the rates compare.

But it's worth looking into. Thanks.

I can find them at dreamsunlimited (the ta sponsor for this board), mouseavers and the DCL website (that takes a bit of digging but not too much!). They are like FL resident and others-pretty short fused. You can DEFINITELY sail on them as retired military. Disney as a whole is very good to retirees (especially when they need to fill a ship, park, resort ;)).

Within the past 10 min I found these: 4 night April 16 2017 , three 7 night Southern Caribbean sailings (in April I believe) and the 7 night Norway in June (I'd really love to do the Norway! Rats!).

We sailed Alaska last minute on an MTY rate and while I'm sure it wasn't quite as good as opening day price I definitely felt I got a good deal. We never have OBBs (since we're usually in concierge) so can't address that. For us, the rates are great for "hey we have some time off let's do something spontaneous" versus "hey let's plan to wait right before a cruise for the MTY rates" if that makes sense.

I definitely understand that. I get e-mails from the Disney Cruise Blog and never really paid attention to the Military Offers. But I will now! By the way, did the Norwegian Fjords during a Baltic Cruise--do it!!!

It's a really good discount. Usually in the neighborhood of 40-50% off. They are all last minute rates, though. And they carry restrictions...you have to pay the entire cost at booking and there are NO refunds, changes, or cancellations allowed.

We are taking one next month. We booked March 9th for an Apr. 16 sailing. It ended up being about 35% off the current rate. Thats an Easter sailing too! For a 4 night and a family of 5 in 2 inside staterooms next to each other it is $4,376. We were still able to book Palo Brunch and the Castaway Cay excursion we wanted too. Still got main dining that we wanted and a 12pm PAT. So we scored big time!
