Military Rate for SW?

Ok my friend and I are starting to plan our upcoming February trip, we're not sure what city we are going to but was wondering if Southwest offers a Military rate or government discount? She has a military id and was hoping to be able to save some money on our trip..I am sorry if this has already been asked..and if there is one how do we go about getting it for her?...TIA!

Southwest does offer military fares, but generally the online discount fares are less than what you would get using the military fare. Military, youth, bereavement, etc. fares typically offer a modest discount off of the full fare for a given flight. So, unless you are traveling on very short notice there usually are better discount fares available.

If you want to check on the military fare, you'll need to call 800-IFLYSWA, as those fares can't be booked online.
