So I have the 3-day military pass for $99. I am a dependent of the service member and we have used one out of the three days. I am planning on going to the parks without the service member in April. I know that the service member needs to be there to first activate the passes but I was wondering if he needs to be there for the following visits. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Hmm. With most park-hoppers, you have to use the remaining days within 14 days of the first use. I think the military tickets are the same. That means you wouldn't be able to use them in April. Does it mention that on the ticket?

If they don't expire, then you would be fine without the service member as long as you have a dependent military ID.

Your ID is fine. You could have been the one to activate it too, since it's for the military member or spouse :goodvibes Enjoy your trip. And yes they don't expire until sometime in September!

As far as I understand, if you have already used one day then you have a ticket in hand, not a voucher anymore. At that point they are only scanning your ticket and no longer looking at your id. You do have a military id that matches the name on the voucher (or be with the military person and also have an id matching your name to that on the voucher) when you exchange the voucher for the actual ticket.

My BIL just entered the military. How do you go about getting these military tickets? We are meeting him and my sister in SoCal in April, and this would benefit them greatly. Thanks.!

They are 3-day park-hoppers for military members and up to 5 additional guests at $99 each. You can buy them at a local base or apparently also at the ticket booths at Disneyland. He or your sister will have to be the ones purchasing, but you can use it as long as they are with you at least on the first day. There are a few blockout days, April 17 through April 23 being some of them, so hopefully that doesn't overlap with the time you'll be visiting!

Please tell your boyfriend thank you for his service to our country!
Your boyfriend can purchase attraction tickets at his post/base at the MRW/ITT ticket office. Thats where we buy our tickets/passes and what a terrific savings on most all tickets.

Does anyone have any idea on how the discount for hotels works? Here's the scenario. :) Me, my DH, DD, and mom will be arriving April 4th. My BIL and sister don't arrive till later in the week. Can he book the hotel with the discounted rate, but we would be the first one to check in? We are new at this, and knowing that there are these savings out there for military people is phenomenal. Any help would be fabulous. Thanks so much!

Not likely. Hotels generally only give a military discount when the member is the one buying, and you have to have the credit card used to reserve the room to check in. In case that was confusing (lol) when DH and I check in, he has to be the one checking in, with HIS mil id and HIS debit card for us to get a military discount.

Unfortunately no. We booked two rooms last year (one for my family and one for the IL's). They were the first to arrive (luckily same day :)) but it was my DH that had to do the checking in, since it was military discounted with HIS ID. Sorry:sad2:. You could stay at one of the other local hotels till they get into town....
