Military jets will be flying over Walt Disney World, as well as Washington D.C., New York City, Las Vegas and Chicago Wednesday night to address New Year's Eve security concerns, according to a report.
The New York Times reported that the military planes will be supported by what is described as an "extraordinary deployment" of law enforcement personnel on the ground in major cities.
Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando will continue bag inspections and increase the number of security guards and officers on patrol, Local 6 News reported Wednesday.
The airspace over Disney has been off limits to any chartered or leisure aircraft since March 18 due to terrorism concerns.
Special police teams will be patrolling Central Florida theme parks, downtown Orlando and other areas in Central Florida Wednesday, according to a report.
A special law-enforcement team also has been assigned to Thursday's Capital One Bowl in Central Florida as well.
