OK I can get the 4 day tickets onbase for the discount price.... can I still get a discount of rooms too? and if I book all seperatly can i do meal plan we are flordia residents so we only want to stay 2 nights and save 2 days for another "mini" trip... thanks

Yes, you can get the military room discount. 30% off Values, 35% off Moderates and Cabins and 40% off Deluxe. You may also add any of the dining plans at regular price without having to purchase a Magic Your Way package with tickets since you have the 4 day military promo tickets available to you.

I agree with PP. We've done it ourselves. Keep in mind there are a limited number of rooms offered for the discount. Get your tickets separately, then call Disney reservations and ask for the Military Ticketless Package with Dining. Have a great time!

It probably depends on the base. Being that you're in Tampa, I would imagine it would. I can get them at either of the 2 bases in my city. The one base where my husband works sells them for $133 instead of $138, so there's a small discount on top of saving the tax you'd pay at the Disney gate.

Of course, even if you buy them for a friend, you still must activate them at the Disney gate for them to be usable.

You have to purchase tickets to able to get the free dinning so the answer is no. But it is usually cheaper to do the military discount with the dinning plan that the free dinning.

We just returned from a trip using military tickets, a room discount, and paid regular price for the DDP.

Just a tip, some base MWR/ITR offices do not keep the military tickets in stock. At the base we just moved to, they said it would take up to 2 weeks to order the tickets.

We ended up having to buy them at DTD and pay sales tax because we didn't have time to order them from our base and arrived after SoG ticket office had closed. Going to SoG the next morning would have prevented us from making rope drop so we opted for DTD and paying the tax.

That would not be cost-effective. While you cannot add days to the Military Salute tickets, you do have several options. If you only have 3 people in your party you can purchase 6 of the Military Salute tickets (*if* the military member or retiree is present) and use 2 each for a total of 8 days. Or, you can add the Water Park option and spend 2 days at the water parks and Disney Quest. Or, if you're going during a holiday period when you might want to go to a Halloween Party or Christmas Party, you could have a day that you spend at DTD or your resort and use the party ticket for entry to MK after 4:00. Or, you could get 6-day tickets at Shades of Green or your local base's ITT/MWR office. It won't be as good a deal as 4 days for $138, but a little better than a full-priced ticket.
