Military Discount

Does anyone know if the current military discount applies to campsites?

I made reservations just a few days ago and asked about the military discount. It does not apply to campsites.

It has always been my understanding that you can only get the military discount at any of the hotels only when the shades of green is booked and you are offered an overflow hotel/rate. At least thats how its been over the last several years since we have been going there. BUT, if its changed.......let us know!

Disney has a military special going on now, that has nothing to do with Shades of Green.

OH yeah, it has changed and is 40% all year except some black out dates. You can't beat the deal with the free tickets. We are desperately trying to go this year....while it is cheap.

I finally got through and was told it applies only to the cabins.--Imagine that.

I made reservations in June for 6 days at a premium site. The total was $379. I didnt even have to ask for the discount, the CM just gave it to me based on the info I provided at the time.

I know of others who have recieved the 40% off campsites as well. Try using the code MYV when booking. Im not saying it is Disney policy to give the 40% off campsites, but I did recieve mine.

On my reservation its is listed as MYV discount. That is the code for the military 40%. The CM also siad he put me in for the military discount.

I booked our 8 night stay on 29 Jan and they gave me the 40% off on a premium campsite without me even asking for it. We told them we wouldn't be needing tickets because we were doing the military special and they just applied the discount without telling us until the end.

It's free to ask! My husband called today to find out about it. We had a preferred site reserved, and he was told that it only applied to premium sites so we upgraded!!! We got the discount - it saved us right at $200 for 7 nights and got us an upgraded site!!

Woo Hoo! I will be calling tomorrow. I didn't think we could use it on the campsites, and I was all excited I was able to use my AAA. Its more savings to use the military discount rather then AAA!

I too called and said I would have to change my 'preferred' site to a 'premium' site, in order to get the discount. The only problem being, the premiums are futher away. Also, my husband is only a four year retired vet. He does have a card to go to the VA hospital.....not disabled. Anyways, is he still eligible for the discount? Thanks in advance.

We're going 11/28 thru 12/4. I tried again and was told it wasn't available. I'm so bummed.
