Military Discount Tickets

How strict are they with checking for military ID at the gates. I'm getting married and going to DL for our honeymoon. A friend of ours is a veteran who was going to use his discount to get us tickets as a wedding gift. I'm worried that it looks like we actually have to have a military member with us though.

Does anyone know if this is enforced?

we've used military tickets many times and they have always asked for a military i.d. usually it's just upon activation of the tickets, but there have been times when we've been asked for an i.d. every time we've entered.

The military member must be with you to activate tickets. Once tickets are activated you can all go your separate ways. We have gone to different parks as the military member and been just fine. But the military member and everyone with a ticket must be together to get the tickets activated. Activation is at guest services or the main gates.
