Miley Cyrus tour

I am taking DD(8) to the 10/27 show here in Chicago and then the next morning we leave for Disney for a week  It is a great way to kick off our trip!!

The reviews I have read say that if your kids our looking for HM, they may be disappointed. She does a couple of songs but mostly her new stuff. Her show is about 90 minutes and she does lots of clothing changes. They also are saying that she is dressing more grown up.

I am looking forward to taking DD to her first concert (besides the Wiggles)! She and her best bud love to sing and dance to Party in the USA :dance3:

I would love to take my daughter to one of the concerts but I question for you all that got your tickets. How do you get the better seats? I've checked 3 venues and all of them are in the nose bleed section. I don't want to spend my money and not see a thing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I got Sec 200 level by joining her fan club first. That way you get the pre-sale code for early purchase on tickets. The floor seating was also available, but my DD is 8 and we find it easier to be in the first rows of the first upper level instead of floor. Floor seating is usually all one level, everyone always stands the entire time and it's too hard for a kid to see.

What Im most curious about is how are the ticket processing going? I know they went to a "paperless" ticket, but Im wondering how thats going....have the worked all the bugs out of it yet :rotfl:

Glad your daughter enjoyed it. Can you give me a few more details, like how did the ticket situation go, and did you get there really early for that. Also, was their an intermission? Oh, and how long overall was the concert? TIA I go with my daughter and niece on the 6th, and neither of them has any idea, we will pull them out of school at 1pm, and then drop the bomb on them. This is for my nieces B-Day and her mom has bought tshirts and other goodies that we will put on them, as well as do their nails...ya know, the whole package. Im so excited for my daughter, to watch her will be worth the headache Im sure to have when its all said and done.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner but I haven't logged on for a while. We walked up to the door with the print out and they scanned it with hand scanners and gave us tickets. There was probably about a half hour intermission. The concert started at 7 and ended at 9:30 (Miley was 8-9:30). You will have a blast.

Are there many boys at the concerts? I got 3 tix, with the intention of my dd taking a friend, but I know my DS10 is going to want to go.

Thanks for the info. Who was/is the opening act? Also, did they check your id/credit card like they say they are supposed to be doing...hence the ticketless tour!

DD & I are gonna see her show tonight! So if the show starts at 7pm Miley won't be on stage till 8pm? Should we bother being in our seats for the 1st hour? How's her brother's band? DD is 6.....

My DD is getting very excited.. thanks for posting the videos... :) Will be an interesting night I think... My mom (grandma), my DD5, and myself are making the concert in Milwaukee!!!

I worked her concert in Portland, OR. She was on stage from 8 until 9:30. You see a couple suprises that she does during a couple songs that is pretty cool. Shirts were $35. and $40. Poster was $10, Flashing strobe light was $10. Program i think was $20 but can't remember, might have been $25. Looked like alot of the young girls were having a blast.

The ticket issue worked really good, they just swipe the card used and the tickets print out. There is alot of picture spots on the concourse with her clothes line and such so take a small camera if you can. You have to check the policy for your arena. Just remember most places do not allow detachable lense camera's.

I think $35 for a t-shirt is ridiculous and $20 for a program is absurd but we just got back from the show at the Tacoma Dome and watching my daughter was priceless. It was a very good show, just wish a few of the adults or young teens would think about the young kids who are behind them and sit down so they could see. I saw nothing because I wasn't going to stand up in front of children. I did fork out the $35 for the T-shirt but no way on the program.

They do this because they know parents will actually SPEND $35-40 per shirt for their child. No matter how much it is, parents will give in to make their kid happy. Last year's tour was a prime example; parents forked over hundreds of dollars for tickets from scalpers.

I think it's too much, especially for kid stars.

Spice Girls Reunion concerts (2007) was the same price but quality was SO BAD. I gave in and bought one that wasen't my fave but still cute and had okay quality.

on the other hand, Michael Jackson tour shirts (2009) were/are $30, a lot more reasonable and GREAT quality bought this onehttp://michaeljackson.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=21637_21641&pc=BGCTMJ01 :thumbsup2

I am taking my 7 yr old son, DD 15 and her friend and my Mom on 11/4. My son loves Miley has much if not more then my DD. I am hoping to see some boys there, but my son won't care. I just hope there is something I can buy him Miley I know that is one thing he is going to want to do.

Can't wait to see the look on DD's face during the concert. I may bring my iPod and listen to something else, but she is sooooooooooo excited - I can't wait.
