Miley Cyrus celebrating b-day in CA Oct.5

I'm staying at the GCH on October 4th, which means I normally get Magic Morning on Sunday. Since opening hours are now 6:30 a.m., does that mean Magic Morning is at 5:30 a.m.?????????

well she isnt bad at all and the pics so what..omg some of you *cought Janejetson* are just mean get over your selfs she isnt nearly as bad as half the rappers out there who seem to be who every one looks up to.

She isnt bad and you all need to stop bashing her. shes 16 and not preggy kinda good in todays cleb world.
and if you dont like her fine dont go but quit thinking you are so much better then her or any one else..damn at 14 i was worse then she was so please stop bashing a girl who probley isnt even chosing half this stuff. leave her alone

First off, that price is RIDICULOUS and I dont care if its for charity. A show for KIDS shouldnt be more than $50 a piece.

Second off, I do NOT like that girl...she is so trashy. I would rather die than let my daughter watch her show. We dont even watch it at home on tv. No Miley allowed in our house!!!

Third off, I can't believe they plan something like that with such short notice....what about all of us who had trips planned then!!! Now there is going to be this big fall-out crowd on Monday of those who decide to stay an extra day instead of going home on Sunday. GRRRRRRRRRR.

I'm just glad I hadnt decided to go Sunday/Monday...I would have been P****ED.

I do have a thought on this too - they are not going to want fan-crazy mobs around her, the Jonas Bros, etc... (and you can bet they will all be there....). I bet they close off 'lands' while the stars tour, then when the stars leave that land, they open it to the fans.....
They will hand out pre-done autographs the stars did BEFORE that night to the fans so no one bothers them for autographs. There will be a few photo ops as well - but I bet they really try to keep them all separate...

There is nothing mean about it. This girl is failing as a role model.

Have you not seen the myspace pics and the delightfully suggestive pelvic thrusts she was doing on American Idol? Those are at least two things she chose to do on her own.

You can't compare her to any rapper. Their message of being a thug and spending money is hardly marketed to children like Miley is. I don't ever recall seeing Dr. Dre on a lunch box or backpack.

Miley wants to pretend she's a grown up but as long as she's on Disney's umbilical cord she needs to act her age and give those young girls that buy her products somebody responsible to look up to. If she can't do that then she needs take a break until she's old enough to skank it up.

It's sad that in this day and age we equate accomplishment to not getting pregnant, entering rehab before completely hitting rock bottom, and staying out of prison. What's next? Praise for not being drunk in public?

Wow...how nice of Disney to add an extra hour and a half in the morning. That seems to make up for closing SEVEN hours early that night.

Dear Park Guest,

Here at Disney money is our number one priority. We will do what we want when we want to do it and nothing you can say will change that. You will continue to visit our parks and buy our merchandise.

We apologize for the short notice on the Miley Cyrus event. Our large events are usually arranged months in advance and this one is no different. Get off your high horse for a moment and consider the impact of this event on us. If we had announced this several months ago when we were hiring staff, designing marketing materials and negotiating labor rates with our union staff, imagine the impact this would have had on ticket sales and reservations. Our park could have potentially been empty on this day due to the early closing. We got burned with the Pirates of the Caribbean premiers and are not about to lose money on something like that again.

We can afford to tick you off because there are millions (yes millions) out there that either don't know about this event or don't care and will still come to see us on this day.

We're Disney. We don't have to care.

Sincerely,
Disneyland Public Relations

PS: Thanks for the cash. We'd like some more. Please visit one of our Disney stores in a mall near you. They will never close early.

Uh...speak for yourself.

I'm referring more to the racy photos that she put up online. And her writhing around on stage....it's just not really age appropriate dancing. And give it time...you'll see her stumbling out of clubs soon enough.

One question... How old are you, seriously? :thumbsup2

Okay, so I can understand why some people are upset about this. Especially if you have a non-refundable flight and things like that. I'm so sorry, I hope that you can still have a fun vacation and try to make the best of it.

I just wanted to give my input on all the bashing going on. I don't really know much about this girl. Just the stuff I read online here and there. I agree with the comments that have been made, she has no control over it. It's a marketing thing, and an effective way to make money for charity.

If anyone should be blamed, yes it should be Disney. Unfortunately, they know people will get over it and still go back there again, and spend their money.

I can appreciate how much Disney means to people, but you have to be realistic. They are in it for the money as well.

As far as everyone flipping out about Miley being a bad role model... this is where you as a parent step in and be a better role model. And fulfill your obligation as a parent to raise your child the way you see appropriate. To actually take the time to monitor your child's entertainment. And to explain what is and is not acceptable behavior. Hopefully helping your child realize that not everyone is perfect and people mess up. Because your kids aren't perfect and will make mistakes, and hopefully you will be able to correct them in a loving way.

I just wanted to give my input in this discussion. It frustrates me when parents pass responsibility onto these young girls who don't even know what they are getting themselves into in the first place.

You have to be able to be realistic and seperate fantasy from reality. Hello, look at Ariel. She's 16, falls in love with a guy she's never even talked to, disobeys her father, and he gives into at the end anyway? Can you imagine if we took everything so seriously as some people are taking Miley's character?

As far the undeniable indecency of some celebrities (and "normal" people) out there today, it's in the Bible people, 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

Okay, I'm done now.

What does my age have to do with anything?

Ariel is a cartoon character. Miley is not a "character."

You'll notice a previous post I made said - "Luckily, kids with good parents will understand what things are and are not appropriate to do." So I agree with some of the things you said above.

;) If you are referring to the gay remark... I was just subtly alluding to the fact that Oct 5 is the last day of Gay Days in Disneyland. On the other hand, I wonder if kicking everyone out of Disneyland at 5:00pm on the last day of Gay Days is Disneyland's way of sticking it to the Gay Dayers? (No pun intended)

Saturday, October 4 is Gay Days in Disneyland.

Sunday, October 5 is Gay Days in California Adventure.

Perhaps having the party on Sunday rather than Saturday is Disneyland's way of NOT sticking it to the Gay Dayers.
