at the WDW races earlier this month.
Hopefully, I'll get to meet more of you before we win this challenge!
I'm kinda new to the events/comp board and my buddy Bryan aka Bubba73,

DH has promised he is "thinking" about more names.

He waffled on the May Minnie trip on Monday when I found cheap airfare because I didn't know how much I could get a room for...and now the airfare is high again. I think he feels bad!

I'm off to the gym (it feels so late to do this!) for a couple miles on the treadmill. Gotta get the mileage up for the competition!

BTW, Allyson, if I didn't tell you....I read your suprise trip report all the way through last week and found it entertaining! Thanks for sharing!

I interrupt this thread to express a personal concern.

In reading some posts, I have noticed some people expressing their feelings of now being part of a team. I have been posting and annoying people on this WISH forum for about a year, but am a newbie when it comes to events, having only participated in the ToT 6.5K so far in my illustrious endurance event career. I hope everyone remembers, however, that we all have been and are still part of the WISH Racing Team. Think of this event as an intra-squad scrimmage designed to further inspire us to stay healthy.

I hope this competition does not create sub-groups that share training advice and planned events amongst themselves rather than continuing to do so with everyone as has occurred with other Groups/Threads That Shall Not Be Named.

I now return you to the regularly scheduled trash talking already in progress.

We are just a bunch of pods off of the mother plant called WISH I KNOW that I will never lose sight of the bigger picture..... that we are AS A WHOLE a Team.... this is just a motivational exercise.... And even with the trash talking... I believe each team will inpspire, motivate, compliment and cheer for every other team.. because that team's members are part of our family... that is the difference. These are just temporary Teams..... WISH is Family, which is forever... I guess that's how I see it. Thank you Bill for putting out that little reminder though... to keep everyone focused!

Bill, I second Sandy's thoughts here. I only went to the gym tonight because there were so many WISHers who have been so encouraging (my imaginary workout friends).

Intrateam scrimmage sounds good. But I like that doing it this way means that the groups are small enough that if I start to slip, there are people who will notice and call me out!

I would like to back up the wise and wonderful Bill's post just to say that some people do not take the trash talk as well as others and PLEASE be careful that you do not direct it at any one person (unless you know them and that they can take it). I am all for a little smack talk but there are others who are more sensitive to that kind of thing. Please, please, please, make sure that your banter is in generalized form. Remember to play nice!!!

Team 4 members on today, we have had some concerns expressed that Going Goofy does not represent the entire team as some are not into the Goofy thing. So, I have come up with some alternate suggestions:

The Incredibles
Mickey's Marvels
Going Goofy (still on the table)
All of Susie's suggestions from before cuz they are funny!!!

Anyone with anything else, feel free to suggest. I would like to get a vote out this weekend (or today if we could). Anything Disney, inspirational or just downright hilarious works for me!!!!

Lisa - I like the name "Going Goofy." But alas, I am not doing Goofy. EVER.
Then again, that name does not have to mean we are doing the Goofy Challenge.

Wow, I went to work and it took me all morning to catch up. GO TEAM!!!

I have everyone updated to this point. Every team is even with the exception of the team with our triathletes, they are short one. I'm sure that slot will be filled quickly. Scuba Diver I moved you to make things even I hope you don't mind. Another team needed your strength.

I think seperate threads for each team will be the easiest to keep up with. Rest assured I will instigate special threads to allow the trash to pile up. But one thread would do like this and take all a persons workout time to catch up on.

Bill this whole board is based on mutual restect and support for each other and the team compition will help us get to know each other better. But yes you are absolutly right trash team to team not person to person unless you know the person, the way you, Robert, Vic, Mike, Craig and I do.

Of course you can still cheer for individual members of other teams, we are all still the WISH team. We are just choosing up sides for a friendly scrimiage.

New people don't worry about not being as big an asset to your team as some others. This compitition is a tool to help you keep going during the year, it helps to have all you can get when the going is rough.

I hope everyone is recovering nicely and ready to go on the 1st.

First, hi back atcha Liz, and all the other numero unos on this team!

Next, Team Number One, in light of Bill's post, I have one more name suggestion to toss out, a kinder and gentler and less trash-talking name, for those on the team who want to DIStroy the competition in a quieter manner. But first, it requires a little background (never a good sign)...

I was going through the lost and found photos looking for my castle shot (I never seem to get a decent castle shot) and came across a bunch of photos of a guy I had, ahem, noticed before the race. A lot of his pictures are in the lost and found, which makes sense since there is really no reasonable or safe place to pin a number when you are only wearing a skin tight white speedo.

So anyway, when I was in the corrals and he walked by, I remember wondering, quite innocently of course, whether those were available in WISH green and whether our dashing WISH warriors would be willing to adopt them as a new team uniform when the lady next to me, following my gaze, said "Well, I found my moving buddy!"

So, there's my kinder, gentler team name suggestion -- Moving Buddies. Its got a Disney reference, and we're all going to be moving and buddies throughout.

Oh, and if any of the pretty princesses want links to the lost and found pix, just let me know.

Kristi/Angie: I agree. I have often said I look like Sport Goofy on skis so this one works for me too.

I see we have lost a few and gained a few more members so welcome on board Tink06 and hubby (names would be awesome BTW). We are currently in the vote process. To save you some time, right now we are taking suggestions but the 2 remaining on the table are:

Super Goofs and Going Goofy
