Miles/Hours game rule clearification For Captains

Hmm.... Well, then, according to Bill, dog shows are a sport because they are on ESPN, too. That means training for a dog show, so we can count feeding and brushing the dog, right? :confused3

No, training for a dog show wouldn't "count" as ESPN doesn't televise the dogs being fed, etc.

I more than agree that any WISHer who prances around on all fours with a dog collar on and has their teeth, etc. checked by a certified judge at an accreditted dog show should be able to "count" the time they are actually being "shown."

Well, if Lance Armstrong cross-trained to keep in shape, they wouldn't show that, either, during the race.... :rolleyes1

I'm just sayin'....

No comment on the dog collar.

I'm not sure what your sayin'.

Yes, if you are X-Ting like Lance Armstrong, yes it "counts".

Eating food, brushing hair and personal hygene, whether for the WISHer or the WISHer's dog, doesn't count. At least that's how I understand it.

You obviously did not watch the coverages of his last two Tours de France. Dh is a cyclist and we watched those two tours 24/7. They filmed him everywhere. They even had film of him closing the bathroom door!

I seriously think that when the aliens abducted Bill that they removed way to much of his brain for medical experimintation.

To get back to the original purpose of this thread:

Swimming just like any other activity where you cover distance counts for both miles and hours.

A 25 meter pool, the average size in a gym requires 32 lengths of the pool to equal 1/2 mile. Going down and back 32 times is a mile. An olympic size pool is 50 meters so...

I want to encourage everyone to do some local races in their areas also. Especially if you have never done one before. I'm sure unless you live way out in the sticks there should be some 5Ks this spring and summer. Most local 5Ks cost 10 to 20 dollars to enter, do a few and lean from it, then when you are doing a high dollar Disney race you won't be making the rookie mistakes like going out to fast and suffering the rest of the race.

To reward everyone for this, any miles you do in an organized race will count double.

YEAH!!! Now I am going to find some more races to run.....

Cruella your name sure doesn't fit you. You are a wonderful support to everyone on the WISH team. It's pretty princesses like you that make the team so strong.

Thank you.

Rule making Panda,

Is it all races? Or just local races that count double? If it's local what do we count as local? Local for me can be 200 miles!

Dear Counting Panda...
Yay for swimming miles counting! I let Big Vic know to add mine. (was just counting run/walk/bike)

And that is a nice little pun you made....because people will get LEAN from races! heehee! (I know, probably a typo, but it works) :goodvibes

Love the racing counts double rule! So y'all watch out, in August, since I have an Ironman coming up!

I didn't think anyone would notice. You are quick. Pretty and Smart Princesses are what makes us a strong team.

Any race counts double, I just used local as an example since most new exercisers would probably consider a local race over a race that was expensive and travel was involved.

Proud of all of you Panda:yay:
