Just booked with Enterprise for a 2 week rental for $507.00 thanks to my husbands work discount code saved me over $600. I just have one question we are coming from Albany NY we get unlimited miles in NY and the bordering states after that it's 30 cents a mile but we also get 200 miles a day for a total of 2800 miles for the 2 week span the lady I talked to said we don't have to worry because with the 200 miles a day it adds up to 2800 miles for the 2 weeks and you only have to start counting after Pennsylvania even after that we would not go over the 2800. has anyone had a problem ?

Wow, my head is spinning after trying to read your post. I don't understand what you are asking; please repost using complete sentences. You have a better chance of someone answering.

Use Google to plot your trip from the Maryland border to Walt Disney World. Multiply by 2. Subtract from 2800.

Whatever is left is how many free miles you will have for any travel in/around WDW. Anything over that will cost you $.30/mile.

From my location in MD, it's about 900 miles to WDW but I am not that close to the border of PA.

I have a concern about what the agent told you - I have never rented a car that says it's mileage beyond a certain state. If you are picking up the car in one state and dropping in the same state it will either be unlimited miles per day -or- free 200 miles per day.

How would they know on Monday your in one state and on Tuesday your in another.

This quote alone does not seem accurate.

From what I understand we would tell them our route to FL and after Pennsylvania is where the mileage would start counting to FL . So since we would get 200 miles a day which adds up to 2800 miles total for the 2 week rental we should be ok. They would not know which state we are in I guess what they would do is count the mileage from the state after Pennsylvania

I am led to believe that if you leave your state and contiguous states for any length of time during your rental then the entire rental is figured using the 200 mile per day limit.

Tell them you made trips between Albany and Buffalo for two weeks, how will they know the difference?

Last time I used Enterprise the choice was unlimited mileage in the specified geographic area or 200 free miles per day. You didn't get to "mix and match". At the time of rental you made the choice.

An increasing number of rental agencies put GPS devices in their cars. It allows them to enforce geographic restrictions and locate "missing" cars.

I'd be shocked if the Albany to Buffalo commute story flies.

I'd wonder about that also.

I was wondering all that myself. now I am second guessing the booking but for now I am staying with it because the rate is low I probably will call again and ask the same question and see if I get the same answer.

The trip is around 1200 miles. You might be OK with 2800 miles

That's what the lady said the mileage wouldn't start counting till after Pennsylvania but then I started wondering how do they know
