Yuck, some of my laundry got wet and now has mildew.

Can I get it out of the clothes?? :confused3

TIA.

I had the same problem with some clothes when the basement leaked. I washed them a few times and then hung them out to dry.. the mildrew really went away with the sun

Try using the oxi stuff as well. Is there anything worse then that smell :sad2:

Fill the washing machine with water, add a bit of bleach, then add the clothes, it removes that nasty stench if you left them in the washer too long too.

if they happen to be white clothes, you can wash them with bleach, and that SHOULD work. i had this happen to a white t-shirt just a few days ago, and i soaked it for an hour in a solution of 1 qt warm water w/ 2 tbsp bleach, then washed w/ white clothes and dried-worked like a charm! i've also read that lemon juice and salt works, but am unsure of the procedure.

Use white vinegar. It will take the smell out. Just add it like you would bleach.
