Mila is going to meet MICKEY! MAW

About Christmas....

We don't celebrate Christmas ( We are Jewish ). I worry that my kids will spoil it for someone else by telling them that Santa is not real. Should we plan on skipping it?

You don't have to see Santa. They have things like decorating cookies and other fun stuff. You can also tell the volunteers you are Jewish that you don't want to see Santa, but can they still pick out a toy.

M really is pretty darn cutE!

GKTW called yesterday to tell us they were arranging for strollers, a rental car, etc etc.

No worries!!

They actually call it Winter Celebration or something like that. And Santa is usually in a building - so they may not even see him?

Snow falls and they have carriage rides and such.

I don't think there are any overtly Christian references. If there are, please let me know, because you are not the first family that simply doesn't celebrate Christmas.

It may be a party you may want to skip just because it may not be as interesting as some of the others, but I wouldn't worry about skipping it because you don't celebrate it.

They do have a parade and such, too. It is a generally fun night. But I have heard about all of the parties in various trip reports and families tend to have fun at all of them. :)

OH...and the reason I stopped by over here...I just want to tell you I am so glad Mila is ok!!!! :) That is fantastic news!

I'm starting a list of " rides & places " that Mila and possibly Shayla will be able to ride / play at. Mila had a laminectomy ( half of her first vertebrae was removed ) and I am not comfortable with jerky / sudden stops / sudden acceleration / very bumpy rides for her. If she comes down with a headache, it means the rest of the day is spent with her resting.

So far, I have recommendations for :
Ariels' Grotto
the enchanted tiki
cinderella's golden carousel
dumbo
tea cups
its a small world ( may be closed? )
peter pans flight
jungle cruise
Mickey's toontown

any other suggestions?

Mila had some pretty significant headaches this week, so I'm praying fervently that she is headache free for most of our trip.

Sadly, Ariel's Grotto and Toontown are now closed down due to the Fantasyland expansion. I think that The Enchanted Tiki is closed and I am not sure when it is supposed to reopen. I haven't seen anything about It's a Small World being closed.

Check this site out for closing information. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/rehab.htm

Which parks do you plan on visiting?

In addition to your list for Magic Kingdom Mila may like:
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor
Tomorrowland Transit Authority

I don't remember Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin being very jerky, but maybe you could ride it before with your oldest to test it out?

YAY!!:goodvibesThat's great!

There is a ride that wouldn't be good for her at another park.... it has Jimmy Neutron, but off the top of my head I can't remember the name or park. They actually have the first row that doesn't move, but the others are VERY bumpy. I will ask my Alli in the morning and reply again!! You can always ask the CM's if you aren't sure as well.

ONE MORE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must be incredibly excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have an AMAZING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
