I'm not decided yet IF we will do the DDP plan yet, but I have a question. While we are at Disney, our MIL plans to visit for a few days. We were thinking that we could go out to a nice adults dinner while she watches the kids. If she decides to take them to dinner, could she present one of the kids cards ( even though her name isnt on it) to pay for the kid's meals? The kids are considered adults but are only 10 and 12. She could pay OOP for hers?

Technically no, BUT I have never had anyone question my name when on the DDP and presenting my card for a meal. When she paid OOP for hers she'd have to pay cash - so there wasn't a name discrepancy.

She'd need to have your card and sign your name to it.

What may work better is for your child/adult to present their KTTW card with their name on it and sign for their meals. (even without charging privileges they can sign for meal credits) Your MIL can order separately and pay OOP individually.

Okay, so she could sign for the kids??? My kids aren't responsible enough to hold on to their own cards.. Also, the 12 yr old is Autistic and he wouldnt be able to sign for his meal.

I am guessing that you won't have charging privlidges on the card. I'd just have the children write their names on the back in the signature line to the best of their ability.

Have your MIL carry the cards and present the cards to the server explaining the situation. The server will let your MIL know if they need to print their names on the receipt (to the best of their ability, though it may not be a neat signature, it's still their own and thus 'kosher') or if your MIL can sign on their behalf.
