MIL Christmas Pressies

Why does my MIL always (I've been married 18 years) ask for impossible Christmas presents? I just don't have time to search for discontinued items or colours that were last seasons fashion. To add to the problem she "orders" presents by only giving one idea to each relative. I don't think she's ever thought that a gift is something the giver wants to give you and she has no qualms about asking the giver to change the present or get a refund.

It's nothing terribly exciting, just some particular shower gel and talc, but I contacted the manufacturer and they no longer make it. At least I had sense to find out this time. Usually I spend weks searching and when I phone her to say I can't find something she'll say "Oh that's funny, I've been looking for months and I can't find it either."

Just because we live an hour away from her doesn't change the products available in the shops!
