Mike's didn't let me use a coupon!

I went to Mike's today armed with my Joann 50% off coupon, and they wouldn't let me use it on a Cuttlebug machine. Even though it didn't say ANYWHERE that Cuttlebug is excluded from coupons, I was told that it is...no exceptions. Even the 40% off coupon from Mike's didn't say Cuttlebug...just Cricut and MS. I was TICKED! I told them "Then I guess I'm going to Joann's"

So, at Joann's, and they have the machine there at 40% off...store special it's not in the flyer for sale. But I bought it anyway, to use in some upcoming swaps. And I was able to get 2 embossing folders too

We didn't even get a Mikes ad this week, but I wouldn't be surprised that the Cuttlebug was on sale. Both JoAnns and ACM had it for 40% off this week - and it's in our ad. (I'm in PA.) Did you ask to speak to a manager? The coupons have been very specific recently...no Cricut machine or cartridges, no Design Runner, no digital frames - but nothing about Cuttlebug.

I really have been turned off by Mike's lately. I haven't been in awhile and I had to go the other day for work, so I finally checked out the MS stuff. I wasn't blown away at all.

I think I might go to Jo's for a Cuttlebug myself. I really love what it does with the embossing.

Well, it seems that there was a woman in right before me that wanted one, and the manager had said no to her coupon. She left too. I teach there, so I know the girls. They read my Joann's and my Mike's coupons... nothing about Cuttlebug...yet it was still Mike's "policy" They were agreeing with me, but couldn't do anything about it.

I'm wondering if part of my Joann's flyer was missing, because it wasn't listed as on sale in the one I had. I was at ACMoore last week and the whole scrapbook section was being redone. NOTHING that I needed was available. They did have a cool Bazzil color wheel, but I was in a hurry so I couldn't play with it.

Anyway, It was get one, or get a sidekick, and I like the Cuttlebug folders, and that I can use it with my big Sizzix dies if I want. It really does emboss nice.

There isn't a Joann's where I live but there is one where I travel for work so I got on the mailing list. The flyer that came this week - I think has all die cutting machines 40% off.

I have bought several cuttlebug dies. The ones I got today aren't cutting great - it may be the paper. I am using htem with a Sizzix Big Kick. My other ones have been fine. I like the CB dies because the picture of them is on the die.

Speaking as a former Mike's employee I am extremely disappointed in the direction the store is going. They are slowly turning into a dept store and less of a crafts store. It reminds me of Home Goods or TJMaxx or something like that.

I am however very pleased with the changes ACM has made to the point that I'm going to write corporate at nice letter. I tried to be loyal to M's but sorry ACM will get the majority of my business from now on. Our Joanns here is ok, even the super Joanns is not anything to write home about but they do have some cute stuff.

I'm not impressed with Michael's and usually leave without much, even when I have a coupon. Why couldn't we just combine the best of all of the stores and come up with the ultimate craft store?

Coffe, doughnuts, lunch...heck, I'd even volunteer to be a "gofer" for the day- I'm good at that with all the remodeling we've done here!

I checked out the store locater- there's one in Orlando and I'll be there five weeks from today! Hope they have some good sales going on then 'cause it's now on the list of stops to make!!!! (that Bazzill sale is killing me!)

I have a tons of problems with Mike's in the past. We live close to a Mike's, Super Joanns, Hobby Lobby, and A.C. Moore. I haven't been to A.C. Moore in awhile but you all have convinced me to go again, I hope Mike's sorts out their problems soon.

ACM is 30 minutes away while I have both a Jo's and a Mike's close by. Mike's has been awful latley. Their stock is horrid and I can never find what I'm looking for (should little Mickey stickers be that hard to get? the entire Disney section has been wiped out for weeks). Jo's has one aisle of scrapping stuff, not enough for me. Guess I'll be making the treck to ACM. I've been once and loved it
