Did you see Edgar and his wife on Trading Spaces? They were on it before Deadliest Catch. You get to see Edgar's home! They were on the Seattle Trading Spaces show and they re-run it every once in awhile.

SHHH. Don't tell DH. He's *so* impressed that I'll watch Dirty Jobs with him, no matter how gross the topic, it would break his heart if he understood why.

Check out his bios (Wikipedia, Discovery Channel, etc.). In between hosting and narrating, he was a professional opera singer! THAT surprises me.

I keep telling my DH that we should get him to come to our local landfill to do something. I'd definitely hang around that day. (DH's uncle owns the LF and my MIL works there, so I have an in to get front row seats.)

And TV doesn't do him justice. He lives near a friend of mine and jogs by her house every once in a while. We like to watch.

Now THAT is a reason to take up jogging. Forget loosing the 10 pounds I can't get rid of, to follow behind him jogging around----THAT'S a good reason.

He was on in the early nineties. I remember because I used to watch QVC at night when I couldn't sleep (before I married DH) and he was always on late at night. I thought he was funny (kind of a smart aleck as you can tell from those clips) and cute at the time.

When dirty jobs first came on, I told DH "that guy used to be on QVC!" He didn't believe me. I had to do a web search to prove it to him.

I agree that he has "aged well" and is hotter now than back then.

Mike quite often takes off his shirt......makes me drool on my shirt a little....

Once, he stripped down to nothing (they "fuzzied" out his naughty bits) and he hosed himself off....I turned down the volume and just watched!

He's quite funny, and obviously, attractive to many many women.....

HE's popular with kids too....we were potty training our son and used a different word for #2 when we had to discuss such matters.....because of Mike Rowe, our son calls it poo instead! (FYI, our word was not dirty!)

Our son loves to watch it and calls it his "Dirty Show"....he asks to watch it on a regular basis..." Mommy, can I watch my dirty show now?"

A little OT...but we also use the crystal light singles packets in our bottled water when we go to games, parks, etc. He calls those "Mommy's Magic Powder".

I am DREADING the day when he combines the 2 requests into one sentance..."Mommy, can we go home and watch the dirty show and have some of your magic powder?" I can hear child protection services knocking now....
