Might need to sell

My husband and I might be looking to sell our DVC membership for financial reasons. I was wondering if anyone has bought or sold with The Timeshare Store? Is this the only broker to sell with? Thanks for your help!

We've used the Timeshare Store multiple times to sell and once to buy - all transactions went smoothly. They were great to work with.

No, they are not the only broker to sell with and several of them have open listings so you don't have to list exlusively. A couple other's we've used to buy with are DVCbyResale and **********. I'd recommend either and many people on these boards have used both of these as well as The Timeshare store.

Be prepared to pay the 10-12% commission fee to the company that sells it for you.

I sold 2 SSR contracts earlier this year through the Timeshare Store. I had an excellent transaction (aside from the sadness of letting my DVC go). I highly recommend them. Commission is 10%.

I think most of them have non-exclusive contracts, so you can list with more than one and get more exposure - that might help you sell faster. But I'm not certain.

We bought from TSS this year and had a wonderful experience with them. Everyone was very professional and thorough.

I haven't sold a contract with the Timeshare Store, but I have purchased two contracts from them. Jerry Sydow was our agent, and I can't say enough good things about the ease of the transactions, or how much he worked with us as we tried to get thru ROFR.

Jerry's the guy I would call if I have to sell.

We just recently decided to sell our HHI contract using the Timeshare Store. They made it very easy on us. We were kept informed of the status frequently. I hate we had to sell, but enjoyed working with the TSS very much.
