:O :grouphug: I hope that it isn't skin cancer or anything serious and that if it is *KNOCK ON WOOD* that you recover as quickly as you found out :) Hope you feel better!

The following are signs that a mole may be a melanoma:

Uneven Shape -The shape of one half does match the shape of the other half.

Ragged Edges - The edges are ragged, notched, blurred, or irregular and the pigment may spread into surrounding skin.

Uneven Color - The color is uneven with shades of black, brown or tan, and possibly even white, gray, pink, red or blue.

Change in Size - The mole changes in size, usually growing larger. Melanomas are usually larger than the eraser of a pencil (5 mm or 1/4 inch).

Change in Texture - The mole may begin to have fine scales. In more advanced cases, a mole may become hard or lumpy.

Itching - The mole may start to itch, or in more advanced cases it may ooze or bleed.

Well my mole is 3/6 of those signs oh and I have like 24 (more) small moles
many ordinary moles

I would have it removed. I just had 2 scraped off and tested. They came back pre-cancerous. The one is so small, and after being scraped its almost gone so we are just monitoring it.

I had the other one actually removed. I think the process of removal differs by doctor. Mine was fairly invasive compared to what others have had. They numbed me up, cut it out, and I have a few stitches.

I would get anything checked to see if they are dysplastic. If they are I would get them removed. Best of Luck!

As I said the doctor warned my mom about it and my mom wants it checked and I want it removed if it is pre-cancerous

I hope you find out everything is good and no cancer.

Wishing you well Jazz, and keep us informed.
