You may want to take a look at this DVR from Walmart. It's a little

more than you wanted to spend, but at least it's an option.

There aren't too many DVR options anymore.

There's a good thread about this DVR on the AVS forums.

You might also consider this reburbished DVR from J&R. It's more in line with what you were willing to spend.

I wouldn't be able to function without my Tivo! It came with our DirectTv service so there isn't an added fee. Maybe check into it?

I'm trying to sell my TiVo, so if the O.P. is interested, let me know (trying to get $80 for it). It's in perfect condition and I'm only getting rid of it because I just don't use it anymore. I don't really watch much television and most of what I miss I can watch on comcast on-demand or online

And to the O.P. maybe sign up for the service and then cancel a month later? I don't think TiVo has any type of cancellation fee but don't quote me on that.
