Last Thursday night at Mouse Gear I bought an ornament for my best friend's Christmas gift and a monorail set--had them shipped home. I was keeping in mind that my dad had something shipped last summer and it got to NWOhio within a week. The girl asked me what kind of shipping--didn't mention any days it would take, etc.--I said "the cheapest" and she said "you'll have it by Christmas".
Well I called this morning--seems the shipping window is 10-20 BUSINESS DAYS which means 2-4 WEEKS--or, translated, I might not get those items for Christmas!! The girl on the phone said the holiday deadline for ground shipping for Disney mail order was Nov. 30, and I bought the stuff on Dec. 5! When I said "well then the girl lied to me, she said I'd have it by Christmas" she said "I'm sure she didn't lie, maybe the parks had a different deadline." That sounds fishy. If I had known about this I would have paid for the air shipping.
That monorail is for around our tree and my kids are already watching for that package each day--the girl said she doesn't even have a UPS number for it yet, and there are thousands of packages waiting to be shipped out. There is no way for me to switch it to air shipping--and even if I ordered another set, the deadline for air shipping by Christmas was yesterday.
I did tell her that if I get this package after Christmas I am going to send it right back. Who needs a monorail for under the tree after the holiday? I'll just buy one next summer and carry it myself. No sense getting it and just putting it away for a year.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Hopefully you will get it soon. I know how erractic Disney shipping is.
Last summer my DL stuff got here in a week, while my WDW stuff usually take at least 2. I still can't figure that one out.

i had some stuff shipped home from my trip in nov. and i had all pkgs within 4 days of my requesting they be shipped.

We shopped at The World of Disney on Sunday Dec. 8.

The CM told me it would not arrive by Christmas unless i sent it Fed Ex for $30. She did some calculations and since i didn't have to pay tax since it was going out of state, it would in reality only cost me 11$ to have it by the holiday.

I received it Wed, Dec. 11.

And....something was missing form the box, called and they said it would be shipped right out Fed Ex. Then the Fed Ex man came back later in the day with that one item...said he forgot it. I called and tried to cancel the order and they said it had already gone out. They said i should just not accept it when it arrived.

i'm sorry you had such problems and i hope it arrives on time.

Fire 14, where were your items shipped from?
I am wondering of World of Disney has a much better system. The stuff from the parks goes into a big central facility.
I thought she said it would go UPS--I was wondering why it would not go FedEx. I think FedEx might deliver on the weekend.
I am seriously considering buying a monorail "buy it now' on EBay and sending this one back--at least then I'll be sure I'll get it next week--esp. since I know it hasn't even gone out yet. The kids are so looking forward to it--and so am I!!

Honestly I never got my package we had shipped home from the MK. over our 4th of July trip. When I called they could not even find it, but they did replace the items.

I had a pkg. from days of christmas, a pkg. from WOD, a pkg. from MK which had to come in and be framed before shipping. and one from I'm not sure but think MGM and it had o be personalized first.

you arrive home from Disney World the Sunday after Thanksgiving to find that a box has made it to your house from the Disney Store Catalog. You eagerly sit down to open it after lugging all the suitcases etc; up to your bedroom on the second floor knowing that this box contains the final pins for the Advent Calendar Tree. Excited because you promptly ordered the whole set each Friday when the were released like the fanatic you are.

You slice the tape on the box. You open the box. You find.......

1) A new catalog
2) The invoice.

And.... And... And... no pin!!!!!! You turn the box upside down and violently shake it but no pin falls out. You then toss the empty box into the air and grab the phone and call the catalog store and guess what they're very sorry but they can't send the pin that completes the Advent Tree becuase they don't have anymore and won't be getting any.

When you ask the cast member what good the Advent Tree is without the last pin which goes prominently at the top they seem unconcerned, unmoved and uninterested.

They will happily credit your account which is extremely nice of them since you never got what you ordered and that you now had to spend twice as much on eBay for the same pin. Which if you hadn't found would have made you sad each time you looked the tree.

All in all I'm disappointed in the Disney Company they seem to slip into the no customer service mode more and more treating me, who just spent a bunch of money on stuff at the world, who stands every Saturday outside their store to buy $63.00 worth of pins ( for the last 10 weeks) and who buys numerous items from their catalog like someone who is not a customer who is valued.

And the saddest thing of all is that I'll probably keep coming back. Geez, I'm stupid.

We have shipped stuff many times and have always gotten it within 1-2 weeks.

They always told us it would take 3 weeks to receive, so hopefully you'll get it soon

Hope you get it sooner than soon!!!
