Midway games

How much can I expect the kiddos to hit me up for to play the midway games at DCA? Are there any "every player wins" type games?

Honestly, we have never let our kids get close enough to find out! I know that when we sat under screamin' one afternoon, waiting for dh to ride maliboomer, there were a lot of people walking by with prizes. I have no idea if they spent a ton of money and hours winning them or if its more of a everyone wins type setup.

So are they out of the way enough that it is easy to avoid them. That would be my ideal situation.

I thought these were shut down to make the new toy story ride - I swear I read that somewhere - but I may be tripping!!!

I don't know about kids, but my husband can get determined to win SOMETHING, ANYTHING, so he can shell out some cash. LOL

So funny one year he finally did win. The guy working the game said over the microphone "CONGRATULATIONS SIR, YOU MANAGED TO BEAT A LITTLE KID. YOU MUST BE SO PROUD" OMG was he red. I laughed so hard.

They are open right now, but will close in mid June to work on the new ride.

They have not been hard for us to avoid. Its a wide walkway, and we stay near the water side of it.

there is at least 1 play and you win game - pick the fish with the magnetic fishing poll.

We played just about all of them.

Fishing (mentioned above)
Softball toss into the basket tilted on side (hard, but you can win)
Softball toss into the milk bucket (extremely difficult, we saw someone win)
Horse race (throw a ball into holes, anyone can win).
Target throw (baseball at standing targets, get 2 out of 3 balls, and you win - my DD9 won it twice).

I'm sure there's at least 1 or 2 games that I can't think of.

For the little ones, the $2 everyone is a winner game is great - for $2 they get a little stuffed animal that they "win" and so it doubles as less expensive souvenir for them.
