Midnight Excitement.....

Welp, my youngest has a bad cold..... and not sleeping to well so I decided to take her to the bathroom for a nice little steam... to help loosen things up a bit......

When we were done, and back in bed all of a sudden, the fire alarm goes off.... the whole kit and kaboodle..... the main alarm too... Whoooooop whoooooop whooooop. I jump outta bed and punch in the code..... ahhhhhhhh silence.......

Little did I know the fire department and all our contacts were called....... 5 mins after shutting down the alarm, our very sleepy friend called........ ADT called.... said your having a fire over there........ 2 minutes after that another sleepy friend called...... Um you guys ok???? a minute after that ADT calls..... are you having a fire?????? a minute after that the whole darn fire dept is outside our door.......

I was sooo embarrased...... Felt so bad for them...... prolly woke them all up too........ they were all very nice about it and thank goodness they came in quietly, with just lights on, as to not wake up the whole neigborhood......

SO tonight I learned a couple of things...... first after creating a lot of steam, turn on the vent and close the door...... and call ADT ASAP if the alarm goes off when it shouldnt......

Good to know it works though........... just wish it happened when people were awake.......

And now I am soooooo keyed up, I will never get to sleep

The LAST to appear was the fire dept? THAT would scare me.

Take comfort though, we have a smoke detector over our bedroom door and, the darn thing goes off after every normal shower, if someone opens the door too soon. And, the one nearest the kitchen...well, just imagine! I'm no Julia Child.

Glad you're ok and hope DD feels better soon. My Kelly is dealing with hoarse throat/laryngitis after her cold from last week.

Normally I wont mind the darn thing going off (isnt that what brooms are for )..... but since we are directly connected to the Fire Dept. I felt so bad......

On a side note I did set it off once with my cooking...... but that wasnt enough to trigger the main alarm...... ::::::: shrug :::::::: Makes me kinda go hmmmmmmmmm

I am going to take Juju to the docs today, I ended up calling her last night around 1 am (I figured why not wake up some more people since I was already up) And she wants to see her today..... Juju was crying from what seemed like from pain..... from 1030 til about 2...... then she slept for a couple of hours and woke up aain at 4am..... for an hour..... she is still sleeping now (9am) but I am about to wake them both, take Maddie to the sitter and Juju to the doc......

It is so hard when your babies are sick........
