Does anyone know what day on the 7 night Western, the midnight dessert buffet is held, we missed it last time and wanted to be prepared for our upcoming cruise!!! Thanks in advance:thumbsup2

Ok I already found the answer:lmao: I am so impatient:rotfl: If anyone else wants to know it is on Thursday night(semi-formal night), its only on the Magic(7 night only) and is held in Lumieres. :thumbsup2

It's also not really at midnight. It starts around 11 pm and ENDS by midnight.

So Disney does not have midnight buffets like the other cruise lines???

We are going on a 3 night trip on the Wonder.

No they do not. We loved our Disney cruise, but as veteran cruisers on other lines, got caught off guard by that, and also by the late seating show being BEFORE dinner.
Disney draws a whole different type of cruiser than other lines. I swear Disney cruisers are in bed by 10 pm. We'd roll out of late seating dinner about 10 or 10:15 pm and the ship was like a ghost town. Well, maybe it wasn't THAT early, but by 11 pm, is was pretty empty. They did do an encore show at 10:30pm of the Golden Mickeys which was nice, but other than that, other than room service, and the one chocolate buffet, no food available after midnight.

No, they do a dessert buffet on Pirates night.

There's a lot more than a dessert buffet on pirate night. There is one table of desserts and another table with "main dish" type stuff like tacos, turkey legs, etc.

There are also late night snacks served by the night clubs each night except pirate night as well as early evening snacks in Diversions and the Promenade Lounge.

So do I understand correctly that a 11:00 Pm dessert buffet is held on Semi-formal night?
What is the Pirate buffet and what time is it held, is it a complete or desert buffet?

On our 3 cruises in 2009, there was a full buffet on pirate night...starting about 10:15 or 10:30. There is a dessert buffet in Lumiere's on semi-formal night at 11:00. There are evening munchies in the night club area and by the promenade lounge on other nights--they took down the goodies at the promenade area before the nightclub area.

In addition, room service is 24 hours. You won't go hungry!

Yup! This is accurate for the 7-night Eastern we went on 4/25. :thumbsup2

It is a full buffet with a wide assortment of entrees and deserts. It starts during the deck party, which starts around 9:45 pm.

I have to mention that those with late dining seating miss out big time on both of these buffets. We usually didn't finish dinner until 9:30 pm and were way too stuffed to eat anything from either buffet! If you have late seating and wish to partake in these buffets, make sure you don't stuff yourself at dinner!!

We missed the desset buffet because the little ones were in bed, and we missed the Pirate Buffet because it started to pour during the deck party...these 2 things are a must for us this time around! Thank you for all the input!

Like I said, Disney cruisers are early to bed early to rise folks, which is why the traditional MIDNIGHT buffet is over long before midnight. My kids loved hitting the buffet on other cruises about 1:15 am before bed.

When we cruised in December 2008 the pirate buffet didn't stay up very long. We got seats to watch PoC on the big screen and by the time were were settled I went to get a dessert and the buffet was taken down. Learned that lesson really quickly. I'll be fighting the crowds for food and forget the seating. Those people who are in bed by 11:00 will let me have one of their seats I'm sure.

We had been on many "other" cruise lines before we permantly switched to Disney, so we were used to the midnight buffet as well. However, we have NEVER gone hungry on a Disney cruise. Now we partake in the "Disney" tradition and order the kids milk and cookies before bed and it works out great. Who needs a meal at midnight anyway? :confused3

I completely agree:thumbsup2
