Midnight Arrival

Our flight arrives at 12:15am. I have booked Magical Express but when I booked this they said that they weren't sure Magical Express ran that late and I might need to take a taxi.

They also said that even if it did run I would need to pick up my own bags (which is fine).

I have called a few more times and cn never seem to get a straight answer.

Also if I decide to rent a car are any of the car rental places open at 12:30 - 1am ?

Yes, the rental car places are open.

Magical Express is open at that time also. We arrived at 12:15am in May, and trust me, there was a line at the check in counter and a line waiting for the ME bus. Now, the bus we took to the All Stars also stopped at POP, AKL, and all 3 All Stars. We actually got to our room at 2:30 am. That was a long day. It did not stop us from being at AK at open to ride EE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would keep trying to talk to someone at Magical Express, just to ease your mind.

We arrived at midnight last year and decided that we would stay at an airport hotel that evening. I used priceline to get a great rate on the hotel. We woke up refreshed in the morning and took the shuttle over to the airport to pick up our car. You could also take the shuttle back to the airport to catch ME.

When you arrive that late when do your bags get delivered for ME ?

My travel agent suggested not tagging our luggage and picking it up ourselves at baggage claim before getting on ME. We arrive at 12:20 a.m and she said our luggage would be delivered to our room anytime between 2 and 6 a.m.

Even if DME does deliver the bags to the resort, I, also, would not tag them. I would much rather go off and get them myself rather than have no bags until the next day, or have someone knocking at my door at 3 in the morning. Yes, it's nice to not have to lug them around, but I always suggest grabbing those bags yourself if you're getting in after 1o or so in the evening.

On our above posted trip, we still chose to have DME get the bags. I let the front desk know to hold the bags and I called to get them delivered at 6:30 the next morning. They arrived within 10-15 minutes. I would pack a carry on with the things needed for that 1 night.
