Middle School IB Program anyone??

Has anyone had experience with a middle school IB program? DS is considering this for next year, but it's a tough decision as his friends are all going to our base school nearby. What did your child like and dislike about the program? How was the transition to high school academically after going thru IB in MS? We've gone to the information meeting and have good idea of what's involved in this program, but is there anything else specific to MS IB we should investigate further based on your experience??

MS=middle school (sorry I was lazy )
IB is International Baccalaureate

Didn't even know that there were IB MS programs. I did IB for high-school and felt it did me a step ahead of some of my non-IB peers when it came to college. Again for high-school the program was more intensive than what the normal schools were doing which I think helped in college.
