Middle of the Week Check Ins vs. Weekend Check Ins

Ok - now I'm really obsessing. Are there any advantages to checking in in the middle of the week vs. the traditional weekend hotel check in?? We are taking advantage of more affordable airfare flying Wed to Wed and didn't know if this might mean more efficiency at check in, or our room ready earlier.

Anyone have specific experience with this??

Fri to Sun tend to be the busier check in days. You will likely find a shorter check in line on Wed. Having room ready is far more of a mystery. Many times it is, sometimes it isn't when you check in early and day of the week doesn't seem to make much difference

We've checked in on both a Thursday and a Sunday and found no difference in room availability. We showed up around 11 each time -- the rooms were ready around 2:30. This was in late August and early December...

We usually check in on a Friday and I can say that what seems to make the most difference is the time of year that we check in. When it's slower we usually get our room when we check in~busier times of year it's around 3. Also, if you're checking in around 11 am it's the worst. That's when everyone is checking out and the lines can get long.

I've noticed that there are more CMs manning check-in on weekends. Thus, while the number of guests checkin-in may be larger, there are more people to help them. As far as the other details, who knows with Disney??? Dh and I checked-into AKL mid-morning on the Saturday of Halloween weekend. The resort seemed pretty busy while we were there for our long weekend. We arrived between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m., had no wait at check-in, were up-graded from standard to savanah view, AND our room was ready. On another trip, we checked-into CBR late in the afternoon on a Tuesday, stood in line for what felt like FOREVER, we hated the location of the "preferred" location of our rooms, and our rooms weren't ready until well after check-in time.
