those traveling were me, nicole, 25 and my boyfriend, chris, 28. this was my 5th trip to WDW and DBF's 2nd, the last time he went, however, was before EPCOT opened. we carried a passporter with us at all times and it was great. that's how i'm able to remember enough to make trip reports even after we've been back for two weeks and survived the holidays. we stayed at the animal kingdom lodge for 6 nights
on our first day we split our time between MGM and MK. we got over to MK about 3:00
for the 3:00 parade. we found a great spot on the sidewalk right across from the railroad
station at that time. “the share the dream” parade was great. I loved the snow globes and
since most of the characters were moving so big and talking from their globes I didn’t
feel the distance so many others have talked about. at one point the parade stopped and
everyone jumped up for pictures. wasn’t sure if this was planned, all I a knew was that
the blue fairy was right on front of me and the pic opportunity was too great to pass up so
I jumped up too. after seeing the pic I was glad I did. I loved the villains snow globe,
better than the car in the “stars and motor cars” parade at MGM.
we then wandered some to see how the lines were, they seemed kind of long, in
comparison of what we had already seen, of course, we did go on off season. we decided
to get a spot for Cinderella’s Surprise. after sitting there a few minutes, a CM came and
announced that the show was canceled, for what reason we did not know. I was upset b/c
this is a show that has dark days and I didn’t know when I would be seeing it again. also
we had wasted time getting a spot and wasted a half day at MK to see nothing. we had
5:30 PS at chef mickey’s and didn’t have time to get in line for a ride. so we left for our
PS.
the next time we were at MK was that night for MVMCP, there is a separate thread for
that however. and a rather exciting one for us.
our last day was also split between MK and MGM, but MK was first this time. we were
there early, about 8:45 and waited on Main St. we had done most of the major rides at
MVMCP and had saved fantasyland for this morning. we went straight to peter pan, a
close tie with my favorite, PoC. then to winnie the pooh, snow white and tried Ariel’s
grotto but Ariel was not to arrive until 9:30. we had PS at Cindy’s for 9:30 so we went
ahead to the restaurant. I got my picture with fairy godmother, and we waited about 20
min to go upstairs. I loved the french toast and everything else was good too. I didn’t
seem to mind the plate breakfast here, I filled up on one plate and everything was good, I
did not enjoy it as much at Artist Point in a previous trip. of course there was no cream
cheese stuffed french toast there. we saw belle, sleeping beauty in the blue dress, mary
poppins, snow white, and Cinderella. snow white asked the table next to us to take a
picture with the both of us, and we waited a while to see Cinderella.
after breakfast we tried Ariel’s again and there was 20 minute wait, and though it wasn’t
that long we didn’t have much time so we went to Small World. apparently DF was tired
b/c he slept through most of the ride, then tried to blame it on the “relaxing song”. then
we checked out the line for “Hall of Presidents” and a show had just started so we
squeezed on another trip on Haunted Mansion, then got into hall of presidents. I had
never seen this attraction before and was very impressed. the presidents’ life-like-ness
was very interesting. I loved all the “business’ of the presidents that did not have a
speaking part in the show. there’s something about doing things that are patriotic right
now that give me a good feeling. apparently it wasn’t just the relaxing song b/c DF slept
through this ,too.
we went on to the jungle cruise and actually walked on to that, too. DF took lots of
pictures. we also did the tiki room, and stepped in line right as they opened the doors so
there was no wait for that either. we tried to do my favorite ride again, pirates of the
Caribbean, but it was closed for some reason, we were glad we did it at MVMCP. then it
was time to head over to MGM for “stars and motor cars’.
on the day that we went to animal kingdom we left at park close and made it over to MK
for “fire in the sky”. we used our lunch coupons at Casey’s, a tradition for me, and
though we didn’t save any money, I’m tellin’ you, those coupons are so hassle free it’s
worth it. we got a spot for Cinderella’s Surprise which we missed earlier in the week b/c
it had been canceled. this show was at park close so it got a little crowded due to the fact
it was in front of the castle and everyone stopped to see what was going on before they
left. I enjoyed the show, lots of characters and captain hook, a favorite. then before the
fire works, it cleared out some. we met a woman named Angela and her daughter
Carrigan. Carriagn was having a hard time seeing so she got on DF’s shoulders and
stayed there through the duration of the fireworks. I love it when tink flies, that will be
my job one day, but every time I see her step out of the window I get chills and teary
eyed. there is a magic at Disney that is very powerful and some just don’t understand.
we enjoyed the fireworks show and when the davy crockett part came , DF told Angela
that his great great uncle was in fact davy crocket, a true story, and that really impressed
her and she told Carrigan that she had a special story for her when they got home. it was
an altogether good time and there is no place like the magic kingdom.

i would of been slightly upset to stake out a spot and then have them tell you it is cancelled...it is ture....for some thing you have to be there a few hours early.....your bf was a doll to give a child a lift,....tell him I said so.....thanks again

We really enjoyed our time at MVMCP but ours was fairly crowded. Your fiance was so nice to help that little girl have a bird's eye view.

Thanks for posting this, I enjoyed reading it.
