Hi
Trying to work out dates
Can you think of any reason not to go on certain weeks between the above dates please
For example school hols or "events"
Thank you

I try to track events and school breaks that impact DLR in the 2016 Calendar of Events thread. Some of the major events that increase crowds in the parks include Gay Days, CHOC Walk, and UEA. There will probably be more, but those are the ones that we know about at this point.

Historically, Disneyland has hosted a separated ticket event called Mickey's Halloween Party (MHP) on select nights in late September and October. The dates are generally announced in early-to-mid summer (sometime around late June/early July). On nights when there is a MHP, DL closes at either 6:00 pm (M-R nights) or 7:00 pm (Fri-Sun nights). Generally speaking, there are usually parties on three or four nights per week once they get started in late September (this year, they are likely to start on either Sep 23 or 30).

parties.....hopefully figment can give you a number of how many there were last year....and the tickets sold out.......so if you have a product that is in high demand....wouldn't you want to produce more.....wanted started as a hand full of night closures is now a major must do bucket list event.....really tough if you have a traditional value of closing each night in Disneyland. and as for UEA, it is not necessarily an increase in volume of visitors, but an increase in family units....that tend to block intersections, increase strollers and less space to eat and rest and what you think is a short line, is actually grandpa holding a space for the other 7 folks who show up at the correct moment.

The number of parties have been steadily increases (in 2013 there was 13, in 2014 there was 14, and in 2015 there were 17 parties). You can see the 2015 dates in this thread, the 2014 dates in this thread, and this post for 2013). In general, most of the parties tend to sell out in advance (only the first Tuesday party last year and year before did not sell out in advance).

Our favorite week to go is the week after Labor day. Crowds seem so much less, and the park is decorated for Halloween time mostly. The Mickey's Halloween Party hasn't started yet so it always seems to be an off week :)
