Mid-October dates?

Hi all,

Just bought into our 2nd DVC resort (after owning at BWV for two decades!) with a new contract at VGF. I am thinking of doing a 4-night “girls weekend” there this fall in the new resort studios. If we can get rooms, am looking for advice for October dates. Targeting 4 days around weekend of Oct 22nd as my 1st choice, but could also do weekend of the 15th. Want to avoid Col Day weekend, Halloween weekend and Run Disney weekend (1st weekend of Nov). Can’t go later than that as my annual pass is expiring and haven’t decided if I’m renewing.

Any reason to favor either the weekend of Oct 22nd or the 15th, due to events at VGF or at the parks?

I don’t know of any events, but as someone who lives along the Gulf Coast I’ll point out that the later in October you go, the less chance of a hurricane interfering with your plans.

Excellent point! I’ve done WDW in October several times but it’s been more than 5 years, and crowds have significantly increased since then. The last time was Columbus Day weekend (2016 maybe?). It was insane then, can’t imagine it now Thanks again!
